Sinnitus Surgery for Military Veterans

Aloha,

Im a 100% disabled USAF veteran.
Anybody received sinnitus surgery?
Any thoughts or recommendations?

In the past few years, while I was active duty, it seemed like my nose airway started to get Feel blocked…

Now with a recent ear infection + hearing loss…

Maybe my sinuses are getting clogged up at, since I hit my 30s….

I would imagine my scar tissue from years of MMA, years in my current desert dry region residence… would benefit from sinus cleanup/surgery…

Your thoughts please.

Haven’t sought out an ENT yet…

Been relying on my acupuncturists and holistic medicine

Western medicine is my last resort… so I’m probably going to healthevet message my PCM or ENT today…

i have looked into it

while my sinuses are clear, i have a significantly deviated septum... but my nose is so large that it doesn't impede my breathing.

i however do have severe sinus disease/inflammation - as evidenced by multiple CT scans.

do you suffer any indications besides difficulty breathing through your nose, and related infections?

I feel like I’ve been so aloof with the ENT field/terminology… but I’m approaching the field proactively and aggressively now…

And for too long, i have adapted a “ whatever, I’m dealing with this” attitude…

Not until recently, When I started vocalizing these symptoms, post military…to my acupuncturists…..im starting to learn more about my sinus/allergy response to my living area

Every AM, I do the sinus rinse… which seems to alleviate the constant dryness in my nose

I just started my yearly accutane cycle(40mg ED)… so my nose and lips seemed to consistently dry up

I think I’m going to request a referral through my local VA…I’m going to see how it’s reviewed/received

For now on, im living in Latin America in the winter/spring months… which might alleviate a lot of my symptoms as well
