Slin, glucophage and insulin sensitivity

Now if one were to run slin for 2-3 x a week, should he take glucophage 1-2 a day on non slin days or just one day a week to keep insulin sensitivity optimal. Right now im taking ala-r on non slin days, but didnt think that would help re-establish sensitivity.

I tend to think that would be pretty dangerous. The halflife of that stuff is pretty long... what 24 hours or so? If you still have some metformin in your sytem and take your next shot of slin... you may well run into some serious trouble.

Instyinct would have a good answer for the r-ala at least. Other than that it doesn't seem to be a bad idea.

Ive often wondered the same, to use gluco on slin off days. Because I do slin only 3-5x wk, not 2x ED as many do. I didnt know the half life of glucophage was so long. Using as a med for TypeII, its used after every meal. I guess thats to keep levels steady and high...
