Slin use - not post-workout

I work out in the pm after work. I've tried using humalog several times pwo, but found that I had a tendency to get fat because of my inability to control my diet strictly. This was more of a willpower thing as my live-in gf refuses to eat healthy and is a bad influence.

I did like slin for the amazing pumps and quick size gains. I would like to try using it during the day. My meals during work are high protein, moderate carb and low, low fat. These are meals I have specifically designed to meet my needs with no influence from my junk food junky roommate.

I figured use would be ~10iu around 10am, followed by a shake with 50g protein and the appropriate carbs. Noon would be chicken and oatmeal as usual, as would my 3:00 meal. By then the humalog should be out of my system and my evening crap meal won't have an amplified effect.

Currently cycling 800mg cyp/600mg deca weekly.

Question: Has anyone tried this? Will this allow me to reap at least some size benefit from the slin? Are there any cons to this idea (besides the basic slin issues)?

some like to do slin 2x a day. They use in in the am to shuttle nutrients from their breakfast into their bodies, to fight off the fasting they just did during sleep, to help further reduce catabolism, and then again pwo. It is not essential, and i find it a waste unless you are on heavy doses of AAS, and have a hard time maintaining your gains. If you do, just monitor your blood sugar and watch for hypo, as well as stay away from fats during the humalogs time frame.
 
I am not clear on what you consider to be a waste. Do you mean using insulin or using it twice a day or in the morning... ??

Sounds like you'd be a good candidate for morning slin use. Take it first thing upon waking and immediately eat a high protein, high carb, NO fat meal. I find it works best for your carbs to be about 1/3-1/2 simple and 2-3-1/2 complex, as you want to be able to shuttle in some immediately for glyco loading as well as safety, but you don't want you blood sugar levels dropping off before you can eat again. For protein, I like to do about the same thing. I usually include some whey with a good lean meat source like chicken breast or tuna. The key with slin to not getting fat is go eat the correct amount of cals (this can take some practice), and eating as little fat as possible as it will go directly to adipose tissue. If you are not used to taking it in the morning, you want to start in the high end with your carbs. It differs from PWO in that usually when you workout and take it, you have considerably more carbs stored in the body from previous meals, so your body utilizes this as well as the carbs you consume. In the morning, however, your body has a tendency to have fewer carbs stored due to the longer time since your last meal (as well as the fact that many BB's eat fewer carbs before bed). This means that you need a greater amount of carbs from a food source since you have less stored away. Many people have trouble the first time since they eat the same amount they would PWO, and don't take this into consideration and it's not enough. So do some experimenting to find the right amount that will allow you to grow and at the same time keep you relatively lean - just remember to error on the high side untill you are used to how your body will react.
Also don't forget that your next meal will need to be eaten sooner than normal, with similar nutrient ration (perhaps a bit more complex carbs at this time). And the rule of thumb with Slin is to aim for no fat intake while it is active in your system.

slin am or on non workout days is a waste unless you are desperatly trying to hold on to gains. PWO is not of course.
