i finally quit smoking... again. about 6 years ago i stopped for 2 years but i went back to it. 12/1/08 was my last cigarette. its probably early to celebrate and not worth starting a thread about but i thought maybe it could motivate somebody...
here's a few things im noticing:
food tastes better, even boiled chicken breast. smells are stronger, that can be good or bad. breathing is easier. i feel better, more alert and more energy. on a bad note nerves can be a problem(cravings). usually its only when i'm bored like sitting in class. i find my legs shaking sometimes. its the way i deal with the craving i guess, just a subconscious thing.
for anyone trying to quit, and this goes for anything, not just smoking... there's always gonna be reasons to not quit. dont let your mind talk you into it. "i could just smoke half a cigarette to calm my nerves, then i'm done" thats not how it works. you listen to that and you will fail.
to anyone thinking about quitting but waiting for "the right time" how about right now. i challenge you. give it up and try to outlast me
