Smuggling penalties for cigars??

Anyone know how much trouble you get in for bringing back a few cubans to give to your buds???

a couple of years ago we got caught and all they did was tear them up in front of us. in all prob u wont get caught and nothing major will happen unless u have a ton

Not so.

Had a buddy of mine who came back from the Cayman Islands I think and he got stopped for them.
He had a few hanging out of his front shirt pocket that he forgot about. The US customs said he couldn't keep them and told him it was 100$ USD fine for each one!
He didn't have to pay, they just took them. Good thing they didn't check under his clothes in his suitcase though. He had 2 or 3 boxes of them in there! lol.
