Snowed in the Office

Thought I'd show you how pathetic the UK infrastructure is that when it snows everything comes to a standstill.

As I write this my Girl is stuck (and has been for last 3 hours) trying to leave a shopping mall as all the roads are closed cos people are having accidents or too scared to drive so everywhere is gridlocked (like how i managed to get my name in there ).

the business park at my work hasnt gritted or put salt down so nobody can get up the fricking ramp to drive on to the main road and even if you could, you wouldnt get anywhere.

its not 7:42 pm and I tried to leave work at 4 to get home "early".


the mobile phone networks are overloaded with congestion and the internet connections are going intermittent.

jesus, imagine what would happen if there was a natural disaster!!!

to be fair that was taken just as it started. it got a hell of a lot worse later but by that time the camera came second and standing up for more than 2 minutes took priority.

depends whether the government sees fit to put public spending on to that. and in this economic climate, i cant say that will happen unfortunately.

Hell, a few centimeters and Tokyo shuts down rail service which means EVERYTHING comes grinding to a halt.

A few years back we got " White Juan ". No bullshit, I had an 8 ft wall of snow at the top of my driveway. It shut down this area for a week. Now that was snow.

we got a load overnight in bedfordshire. no road gritters out the hill in my village was like a ski slope. this is the time that i can justify owning a ridiculous 4x4 for the sake of 3 days bad weather haha

OH MY GOD!!!! that is just dusting!! I grew up in kansas and we would wake up in the morning and the show would be up to your knee (That is no lie!!!! We would have 12" of snow over night). But now i live in Dallas Texas and if it even thinks about snowing they close the city down and there are 100 times more wrecks.

I live in alberta canada & i own 4 four wheel drives.Getting around is not a problem.I love winter.
