I love going and finding deals on food. I just got home with 360 eggs for $20. I'll eat good for awhile atleast 2-3 weeks. I love eggs, easy and healthy. I just wish things were as cheap as they used to be. The price of lean sliced turkey is crazy these days. Red meat is high too. I hate the individuals that regulate our costs.

there was a sale here too for eggs, 1doz for 50ct. so i bought 25 doz. i wish i knew when all the sales took place. i also wish they'd lower the costs for protein like meat/poultry/fish. i also hate those that regulate our food costs!

I just paid $3.40 for 5 doz eggs - they've been pretty cheap lately. But chicken breasts and 7% Fat Burger has gone up in price

Cheaper Beef

A good way to get your beef cost down is to buy a whole cow and have it butchered. You'll need a decent size freezer. If thats to much beef for you find a buddy whos a big beef eater and split the bill.

I looked into the cow over the summer. I found a better way to keep my food cost low for meat. Steal me a cow and eat it. I KNOW that there won't be any evidence left. I have about 13 acres in the country< I have truely thought about getting a feeder cow or two. But I know how I am and I know I'd treat that damn thing like a pet.

I am from the midwest, and you can't beat the prices and quality of meat straight from the "small town" locker. My roommate and I always have a full freezer.

Here in Northern Michigan thecow goes for 1.85/lb and then you pay by the size of the cow.I'd suggest finding a butcher, they'll find you the met you want. How'd you people find thatmany eggs? How long can you store them and how do you store them? Just a fridge? Good to see Pickels is a smartass over here, too.

about the eggs, i dunno... i know if i put mine on the top shelf in the fridge, they freeze

and i dont like the term "smartass" i prefer "cute, charming, boyish personality"
