Stubborn Leg growth

Splitting my legs in two separate workouts has made the most difference for me. I'll use the belt squat, leg press and seated calf machine on Mon then on Thu Prone/Seated hamstring curls and leg extensions. I can get way more done this way vs cramming it all in one. During this week the upper body gets a break. I rotate upper body one week, legs the next. I am growing and joints feel better than ever.

I will post up Gironda style sissy squats.

Old school performed with zero equipment. Interesting, multiple movement exercise.

Hi did not have a sissy squat piece of equipment when I was there, at least I never saw one.

Vince had a thing against bb squats. He did have a very crude version of a smith machine and hack squat machine if memory serves.

Nobody here is being realistic.

This guy is in his 50s. He's not adding any significant size to his legs. The best bodybuilders in the world don't do it at that age. The best bodybuilders in the world don't do it in their 40s.

Can he add 1-2lbs? Perhaps. Can he get some more definition? Perhaps. But he's not building his legs to any significant degree. That's not a negative comment, it's the truth.

And it’s not personal.

Like you mentioned, there are relevant examples (could name names), it’s just the way it is. It’s call life. It’s called age. Make the most of what you have and be happy with it.

Take all the drugs you want. Do every, try every exercise routine known to man, you just can’t hold back the hands of time. Many have tried. Nobody has succeeded 🙁
 
Today was finally able to do legs. Had a tragedy within my family this past weekend and it has been rough. I did heavy sets on this workout. Leg extensions/hack squat/leg press/squats/dumbbells' side to side/ On the hack squat was hard for me could only do 285lbs just felt week with it. I went 6-8 reps heavy on all the others 2 working sets. Went at 3:00 today and legs are still burning. Could not find any bands there wanted to try like in the video but no luck.
