Study: Chocolate milk good for athletes

You'd be surprised just how many positive or negative studies are funded by the proprietor or competitor of studied product to promote a desired result.

But other times, as is the case with creatine, where there are DOZENS of positive studies done world-wide on the substance, the mainstream press pays attention only to the very few isolated cases where creatine was part of the diet of someone who perished, and somehow guilt by association becomes valid.

But I digress...

If I need something to drink post workout and there's nothing available, I always drink skim milk. There's nothing special about Chocolate Milk that is any more beneficial than regular Skim Milk but post workout you need carbs and protein, and milk has plenty of carbs and a little less than half the amount of protein per carbs. So a great quick PWO kick.

I agree bro, love skim milk, pwo!! I also love me some NesQuik though:p
 
IMO, the quote from the cycling coach sums it up: why shouldn't it work? I have never been big on the commercial drinks anyway...
 
Chocolate milk also has the added benifit of chocolate which 1) tastes great, and 2) containes cocamine which is a very good antioxidant and energy booster.
 
So milk is good for you is the a revelation to anyone here?
