Sushi when preparing for a show?

NO SUSHI BRO , white rice is equivalent to table sugar not to mention your soy sauce ahahaha sodium loaded. Id say if your gonna diet then diet bro.
 
If you want sushi just stick with the sashimi. I am lucky I get one cheat meal a week and go for all you can eat sushi and make damn sure I get my moneys worth, a great treat for the hard work sticking to my diet all week!
 
i did that in the begining of my diet,only one cheat meal a week and that was sushi,and a lot of it:)but like everything it did end soon enough:)but still i had my 3 weeks of sushi:)
 
Thanx for the responses.See I am fine with just using one day to carb load with just complex carbs but see this guy at the gym who competes had told that it was ok to have BK and fast food even up to the week of the show. I totally disagree I think that hes just messing with my head but I just wanted to make sure and thanx again.I dont WANT a cheat day I WANT to be the best I can without any regrets.

everybody is diferent bro,a few years ago i knew one guy who was eating pizza for a diet,and he took second in nationals:) i'll try to get his name for you guys.now he is a lawer,but still i was pissed when i saw him eating this way still week to the show.
so one more time everybody is diferent.
 
My training partner told me of a guy he trained who won his class at the national level who drank a 6 pack of beer every night, even days before the show. Sick genetics! :eek:

Sashimi(no rice) without soy sauce would work, but then you're taking the fun out of the whole equation.

You are correct in that everyone is different. Some need to have very clean, low intensity carb up days and others need high GI carbs and a TON of them for their higher carb days or they don't even begin to fill out. I have done both extremes: shitloading every week until the show and then keeping it incredibly clean on higher carb days.

I will give you a heads up about the higher GI carb days, though. They will fuck with your head, BADLY. You will be so fucking hungry when you return to normal carb days that it will make you want to slit your wrists. It is really weird. I have had so many guys use a method similar to this and as much as the end result works great, the road getting there is much tougher, in my opinion. You would probably think it would be the opposite because you could be looking forward to eating sushi or shit food on Saturday when it is only Wednesday but it just doesn't work that way. It literally eats at you and you live only to get to Saturday.

With keeping everything clean, there isn't as much temptation because you know it will be aloooong time until you get to eat some tasty shit and you pretty much forget what it tastes like (relatively speaking, of course). Personally, I find 20 weeks of prep a fucking cakewalk now a days if I am keeping it clean all the way through (and this is the way I now prep, myself). 20 weeks of shitloading weekly makes life miserable on both you and the people around you.

Just my two cents....

bro i am 100% with you.i have done that too.i tryed clean diet,no carb diet,high carb diet.i guess we all tryed that:)thats sucked so much.but we need to try to know it does work for you or not.and i know how its feel when you eat cleen and you have high carb day,actualy i am getting weak and tired after that,i feel like shit.but next two days i rock like its no tomorow.but after two days i do crash big time,so its good and bad in it.and being crabe that just suck to begin with:)
but this year was very easy,i dont know why,but i was never mad or grumpy,it was easy.i was strong all the time,wyldeone had my diet runing easy,and that worked like nothing else i tryed before.
so what show you getting ready for now?
 
Yeah even though I wasnt preparing for a show Ive always dieted down just for the summer and this always seemed to work good for me. My lifts are still strong and actually this year this is best that Im feeling.I just figured I would stick with what had worked for me.As of right now Im running sustanon,tren,winny,some t3 and clen.I plan on switching the sustanon to prop but I still dropped 12 pounds even using the sustanon.I was 256 now 244 but still feeling strong as of right now.Thanx again guys!! :D

Having a good prep guy is priceless. Alot of guys talk shit about having a prep guy but if you can basically walk through your prep and not feel like you want to go on a killing rampage, want to have enough energy to still fuck your wife and generally not feel like ass all the time, it is a damned good idea. See, most guys think that their diets aren't correct if they aren't starving and feeling "precontest" all the time. It doesn't have to be that way. If your diet is working the very best that it can be for you, you shouldn't have blood sugar levels falling and crashing, making you hungry.

If you were referring to me as to what show I am getting ready for, I am not. I have too many injuries that I am trying to train around right now.

sorry to know that you have injuries bro,i did have a lot of them last year so i didnt train for 7 months and just thought to do that show.and when i started it was no way back:) and wyldeone helped me a lot,so yes it was easy with his diet.

Ok what do you think about taking the rice out of the sushi...and putting in lentils or corn?

I notice that many people stick to traditional forms of getting carbs...using rice or sweet potato...when they could use other foods that have carbs and proteins like beans? I think you will find that corn goes well with a chicken sushi and the same for lentils (and lentils are high in protein whereas rice gives you very little protein). Lentils and corn also have less calories per 100g serving than rice I think.

Just a thought. ;)
 
IMO

I agree with the "Theory of Relatvity" to each there own, Dave palumbo who has some of the sickest conditioning around cheats once a day during dieting. White rice may be high on glycemic index but like everything if u were to eat that with chicken it makes it less glycemic. It also depends when u eat it and how responsive you r to carbohydrates. As for shit loading and high carb days um, guess it depends on the person, after those days I hold a ton of water ad feel shitty, but I fill out. Ive known guys too that have cheated on there diets and still looked amazing. I think it all depends on the person, and u only know through trial and error, I would not advise high sodium, but u can fix that pretty easy, faster then other diet dilemmas. Everything works in theory and may have some sound scientific base, but everyone's internal environment has many variables that are hard to account for so all one can do is try and see, then make a mental note and go from there.

your body glycogen depletes after an intense workout... thusly if you want sushi eat it after the workout... and then monitor your carbs for the rest of the day but cut it out a few weeks or maybe more dependi9ng on your genetics.
