I don't know about everybody else but I personally cycle my training every 6 weeks or so, I train on a specific plan for 6 weeks VERY intensely then take a week off to let my body recover. After coming back I always feel stronger, joints feel better, and I am much more excited/pumped to be in the gym. You might give this a try, I also set a new goal for every 6 week phase. It might be to set a new pr on a lift, to gain 5lbs of lean mass, or just to maintain my weight and lean out a bit. works for me.
