Teeth Whiteners, what's the best

Who's gotten good results from what? Is the laser at the dentist the best way to go, or is there som otc whitener that's tiptop?:st:r-wars

Crest whitestrips kick ass, and unless you have a grill like Mr. Ed you can use the bottom strips on your top teeth to get twice as much out of the product. Just use the top strips first and save the bottom ones for a few months down the road.

Go on ebay and search for "teeth whitening" and you'll find kits that contain "Carbamide Peroxide".. This is the exact chemical that a dentist uses to whiten your teeth.. It's also the chemical in the strips, but those things are pretty weak and they don't really give a good even application.. You can get 35% gel which is really high strength..

With the kits, you get 2 rubber mouthpieces that you drop in boiling water, and then bite down on, to make molds of your teeth.. Then you put the gel in the mouthpieces and wear them for a half hour or so.. You wear these things for a week or 2, and your teeth will be guaranteed to be whiter - you may even notice a difference just using them once..

And you can get 1 of these kits for literally $7 shipped, which is alot cheaper than the strips, which don't work nearly as good. I use a kit like every 3 years or so for a couple wks, and it makes a noticeable, professional looking difference, for a fraction of what it would cost in the dentist's office.

get toothbrush damp and dip it in baking soda remember baking soda is abrasive so dont put too much pressure while brushing

this is the best solution by far. peroxide and water doesn't work very well for really bright white teeth

Yea I wouldn't mess around with baking soda or hydrogen peroxide when you can get the real-deal stuff for just a few dollars if you know exactly what you're looking for.. High strength carbamide peroxide gel will blow any store bought kit outta the water, which cost way more.. And the results are just as good as a professional whitening which really costs WAY more.

Bright Smile is available in malls and is amazing. One hour to 90 minutes. After that you can use carbamide peroxide. Or else it will take you 2 weeks of wearing the mouth piece with carbamide peroxide for an hour at a time. Better to get it done at Brite Smile and then occasional maintenance thereafter with the carbamide. It's not cheap, $400 or so.

Mad Scientist, do you have any knowledge of these claims by this site:

"Crest White Strips are a new plastic strip that is coated with Hydrogen Peroxide and placed across the front teeth. The strips do work...sort of. Tests by Crest show that teeth are lightened an average of only 1 to 2 shades (compared with our 4-6 shades) In short you will see very limited results with this product. Their kit is only 6% carbamide peroxide while ours is 35%."
