Your doctor should be able to evaluate it better but, for 41 it looks reasonable. Your T is on the lower side of the normal range (300-1000ng/dl approx.) but we all know that it declines naturally as we age. I'm not sure about the TSH... cholesterol isn't great and could use some improvement, would be best to have total under 200 and change the LDL to HDL ratio but i'm sure you already knew most of that. How is your diet and are you doing cardio? Those two are the biggest players in the cholesterol game besides genetics.
I think your cholesterol and triglycerides can be improved through changes in diet and supplements. I'm the same age as you and my total cholesterol is 153, HDL is 42, triglycerides 104. I don't take and meds to keep my numbers that low.
Your Hormone profile is relatively normal for your age bracket and your Total cholesterol number should not be your first concern; Your ratio HDL/LDL as well as your triglycerides should!
I don't know what your diet looks like but I can tell you that you're consuming TOO much simple sugar and probably too much saturated fat! Those values are usually indicative of someone using AAS of some sort BUT you say you are natural so it must be diet related!
Genetics can factor in as well but you are still a bityoung to have inherited traits manifest this soon UNLESS you have a family history of extremely elevated cholesterol levels and/or instances of cardiovascular disease.
I would start by eliminating simple sugars (including fruits and fruit juices) except for at breakfast and immediately after workouts. If you are ingesting a lot of sugar, taper off. DON'T eliminate them completely all at once!
If you don't already, incorporate 20-25 minutes of cardio 4X / week either after weights OR on the days you don't lift!
Start with these two suggestions for a month or so and then re-evaluate; adjust accordingly and continue on. I would also be happy to provide any further suggestions/advice if needed!
Thanks for the info. I have been hampered by knee and shoulder injuries and have not been able to workout full steam. Im feeling better now and am ready to do what i need to do. Also my bodyweight has gone up over that time also as i am not as active and of course the holidays added to it.
Ill give everyones advice a whirl and let you know how it goes. I get another lipid test in 6 months along with a SGPT AND SGOT test.
