Testosterone Replacement Therapy Expensive!!!

Get this.. the Androgel 1% pump 30 day supply is $205!!!!
The injectable Testosterone depot 200mg/ml is $125 for 10ml!!!!
Straight from a M.D. and priced at a few local pharmacies.

The insurance company says the wont cover a dime of it, but I'm hearing there is a way around that if the diagnosis on the medical forms is filed correctly.

It just makes me furious one can get painkillers, nerve pills, and what not for free if generic, 10% name brand, but for a man to replace his natural testosterone levels they want to rape him!

Mine is covered through work 100% but I have low test and this was through a specialsit. Otherwise, yeah expensive. $430 Cdn for 3 month supply of Andriol.

i think its like viagra... its only covered if the Dr writes a letter to the Prescription insurance people telling them you need it b/c your condition is "organic"... i guess that means you went hypo b/c of a condition, not b/c you did juice... i dunno

If the testosterone prescription is written for sexual dysfunction there's no way they will pay anything, thats actually written in the insurance manual.
However since the symptoms were for illness, lethargy, fatigue theres a chance they may have to cover it, no sexual dysfunction was ever mentioned.

One last rant and I will shut up.....but of all things why is prescription testosterone in the USA so pricey! It cant cost the drug companies but a dime per bottle to make it.

Funny story - so I know this girl who worked a Dr.s office and she would write the scripts and verify them when the pharms would call. So she writes me up a script for 10ml of Test Cyp and 4 refills. I take it to a pharm (I'm already nervous) and they say nope sorry UpJohn Cyp is on backorder all across the country we can fill it with Enanthate. So I say yeah sure that works fine. So I come back an hour later - still taking a shit - and they hand me 2 - 5ml bottles of Delatestaryl and she tells me 164.00

I was so fuggin nervous about getting caught - I paid the the fuckin 164 bucks. Oh well - live and learn.

Just goes to show you how much drug companies actually profit. That sucks man I didn't know it would be that expensive. I was considering asking my doc for some thing, how low is your testosterone count A50? im at 319.

HRT

Well I just had my blood work done and my Dr recomended HRT...I'm closing in on 48....Everything was good except my test level which was at 4.2,he said normal levels are at 20-40 and my sugar was a touch high at 115...
I took a 500 mg shot of test e yesterday....I'm tired of being tired and having absolutely no sex drive.....Looks like I'll be starting this cycle a little early...

Don't know what the insurance will cover yet...It'll be a patch or gel script for sure...I asked him about injections but he said it would not keep my levels even.....

tell him biweekly injections will keep levels stable

It's 175. Some other tests have been ran for LH levels and other things but I'm not sure of the results yet.

I think test therapy is such big business today that these companies can charge big dollars. But for the people who need to stay legit, they are an absolute necessity.

I don't even want to think about what I paid for my last order and how cheap I could have gotten it from any of the sponsors...

I have no problem spending money but I just don't like throwing it away.

I'd happily switch HRC's if someone had a good one that was A.)legit and B.)less expensive...
