Two guys did a 2 month experiment using Mentzer's Heavy Duty routine and diet while documenting the results.

Boise Experiment - Heavy Duty Ultimate Body Transformation.

His measurement changes sounded incredible, but upon looking at the pictures, I could not see MUCH of those dramatic changes..

Biceps gained 3" yet look the same in those pictures.. maybe slightly more defined.

neck went up 2" but looks the same

Stomach area did shrink a little

1. Neck – old 19 inches new 21 inches
2. Forearm (3 inch from elbow) – old 13.75 inches new 16.75 inches
3. Bicep (5 inch from crook) -old 16.75 inches new 19.75 inches
4. Hip – 46.75 inches NO CHANGE
5. Chest – old 49.75 inches new 52.25 inches
6. Ab – old 43.25 inches new 41 inches
7. Thigh (9 inch up from patella) – old 26.75 inches new 29.75 inches
8. Calf – old 17.25 inches new 19.25 inches
9. Age – 35 NO CHANGE

The second guy (you have to scroll waaaay down the page) showed a lot of change, in comparison to the first guy who looked his pics were shot the same day.

yep, the 1st guy does look like he has lost sum fat, but has a way to go. Second guy tho, thats a difference!! Actually looks like a before/after pic of a first cycle!! Great for that guy to make those gains i asume natural and in that time frame.:)

The second guy -ronnie b had some serious gains-definitely hleped by being leaner and a higher metabolism.
That's why you don't see a whole lotta change in the fatter guys, it's harder to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time -ergogens will help but neither one of these guys looked like they were jacking juice.
Other than almost choking on the gum..pretty impressive vid here

I wish the would of showed a before and after leg comparsion. The first guy claims 2'' on his calves and the second guy claims to have gained 3'' on his calves. lol thats crazy and I would of liked to see that.

As far as the sleep affecting fat loss that is true. The better and deeper the more recovered you will be. Also we all know GH is released during sleep so thats a plus. Now as far as noticing fat gain from one night of little sleep I am betting this is more cortisol induced water retention. Hard to notice fat gain in one night.
