Curious to hear your guy's thoughts on this. Your most underrated or not mentioned enough as a great pros. We all know the "uncrowned Olympia" guys that get mentioned often, and rightfully so, the Kevin Levrone, and Shawn Ray types. But what about other guys with incredible physiques that were just forgotten by time or overshadowed by a dominant bodybuilder of that time/era.

Mine are in order:

Charlie Clarimonte: My all-time favorite bodybuilder. never gets mentioned ever, Most aesthetic guy I have ever seen

Mike Francois: My second favorite bodybuilder of all time and very close to Charlie. Perhaps because I have met him and trained with him a few dozen times, but he was him back in the day. A career cut short by illness, but a tremendous and interesting person. Love you Mike.

Lionel Beyeke: I guess he never truly realized his true potential, but godamn if this guy didn't have the gifts

Günter Schlierkamp. An absolute monster, tall, enormous, yet still aesthetic. Everyone remembers him, but not sure if everyone remembers how good he actually was.

Aaron Baker: I mean just an aesthetic yet huge beast, another lost name

Theiry Pastel: dude defined aesthetic, his name literally does not exist in bodybuilding lore

Few randoms off the top of my head

Alexander fedorov: people saying he was gonna beat Ronnie (he never would of) impressive nonetheless

Justin Compton: Absolute freak of nature and believe he could of gone much further than he did if it wasn’t for the health issues

Aleksey Lesukov: Arguably the biggest freakiest junior of all time and surprised he didn’t do more damage as a pro but again health I believe but I remember seeing him as a junior on YouTube when I was a teenager and just being blown away

Compton was unreal, and also one of the most unbelievable transformations in such a short amount of time. He will comment/post randomly on Instagram despite keeping a rather low profile in the BB world.

Gunter for sure. But he did beat out Ronnie one year which was well deserved IMO.

I’m biased because I know him but Toney Freeman. His pec tear really set him back, but I got to see what he put into prep and he sacrificed his all for the sport and had an insane physique.

RIP, but Gustavo Badell was an insane bodybuilder that finally got some attention at the end of his career but just amazing build.

David Henry- insane thickness and build all around. But he just got overlooked a lot including this years past masters.

Dexter Jackson, nobody´s favourite and seldom included in any "best" list, yet the man had the most impressive career. He competed 28 years from 1992 to 2020 with a record 29 wins, a bit of Wikipedia:

  • Jackson has made a record-setting 21 Mr. Olympia appearances.
  • Jackson is the only bodybuilder to win the overall title in both the Mr. Olympia and Masters Olympia bodybuilding competitions.
  • Jackson has won the original Arnold Classic five times (2005, 2006, 2008, 2013, 2015), more than any other bodybuilder.
  • Jackson is one of only four bodybuilders to have won both the Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic titles. The other 3 are Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler & Brandon Curry.
  • Jackson is the fifth oldest bodybuilder (second oldest male bodybuilder) ever to win an open IFBB pro show at the age of 49 years 8 months and 9 days after Yaxeni Oriquen-Garcia at the age of 49 years 10 months and 13 days, Lisa Aukland at the age of 49 years and 364 days, and 50 years and 361 days, Betty Pariso at the age of 53, and Albert Beckles at the age of between 52 and 61.

I was going to name him, but he also won Mr. O in 2008 so he def has the title, but a legend for sure!

I met him a few times..he was always impressive as hell and a cool guy..short as hell, but impressive

He’s on a couple of podcasts to I believe on YouTube
Just saw him on a podcast with 3 other lesser-known guys, for the life of me couldn't tell you who's podcast it was, but watched it for a little while because Justin Compton was on it. He still looks pretty good under clothes, his face looked healthy.
