The Sins of the Father

im sure it happens alot more than we think it does.. i guess its like anything else parents push their kids to do.. or let them do.. tattoos,, smoke pot with them,, drink with them,, or push them to a specific field or career their entire lives.. granted some are more abuse than others,, but regardless its still all forms of abuse..
once kids get something in their heads,, theyre gonna do it.. parents can either be a part of it or find out bout it when its to late.. very rare can u convince a kid otherwise..

on another note,, dr's give steroids to pregos all the time,, not sure if it has any long term effects on the unborn... they gave the wifey 2 roid shots the day before and day of my son bein born.. he was gonna be born premie,, shy of 7months.. gave her the shots to help him with lung development or something like that.. she had toximia.. so he had to come out.. well anywayz.. he came out just fine.. no health problems other than jus being really small.. lol..
but though hes jus alil on the short side for his age not by much... he has been super strong since day one.. at 16 months,, he could hold his own weight holdin on to a tree branch,, at 2 he was climbin up and over 4 ft fences.. at 2.5,, he was carrying around 10lb potatoe bags from the car to the kitchen,, an now at 4,, he can do headstanding push ups.. he doesnt look very muscular to me, but he def has always been pretty strong.. i thought it was normal,, being my first kid , thought all kids did that stuff,, but everyone else that sees it or i tell,, says its not.. so idk.. maybe them shots did effect him.. i would never push anything on him ,, but i do advocate a physicaly active lifestyle,, cant stand these kids that jus sit and watch tv, or on the computer or playstation all day every day.. never see the sun..

Closed studies? There haven't been any long term studies. There has been ONE and it turned out to show higher cancer rates in children given HGH. As an adult, using HGH is one thing, doping up your child with it is COMPLETELY different.

I would MUCH rather be short than spend a lifetime wondering if I'm going to have health issues from what my parents forced on me as a kid so I could be 3" taller.

Of course there have been long term studies. Just do a search on PubMed. There are are many. Without long term studies it never would have been approved for prescription in kids.

From the study you are referring to:

“Despite early concerns following a report of a cluster of cases of leukaemia in recipients of GH, there appears to be no increased risk for the development of leukaemia in those treated with GH unless there is an underlying predisposition. Even in children with a primary diagnosis of cancer, subsequent GH use does not appear to increase the risk of tumour recurrence."

It's much more complex than just saying it's good or bad because it can be used carefully under medical supervision or it can be abused in which case many side effects could pop up.

Makes you wonder about those 7' kids that come out of the getto with parents that don't break 5'5". - Yes I'm kidding, but I wouldn't hold it against anyone.

Could just be a recessive gene. I know a family with a 5'10" dad, 5' something mom, 1st kid was 6', 2nd one was 6'8", the third one was 6'2". My son has a kid in his class who is 6'6", whose older brother is 6'.

happens all the time....
