Thinking about moving, possibly Miami

Well i am just getting kind of bored w/ my life here so i was debating on wether or not to relocate and finish up school in florida. i guess it would be something different and im young so now is the time to do things i wont be able to do once i have the family, etc.

whats your guys' opinions, and whats a good cheap area to live around the area? im also looking into schools right now so any help is appreciated.

miami is not cheap man, gas prices similar to cali i would say. north florida is a little cheaper but not much. depends what you like to do. if you like to go out and party,etc then miami, tampa, orlando. if you want peace and quiet, then something like melbourne, oldsmar.

let me know, i live in florida and i can help you out with whats what. also what are you in school for, i can tell you where to go for that as well.

You might like Fort Lauderdale a little better - they are the same location other than about 30 miles - FTL is cheaper and has a younger crowd - Miami can get expensive for a student.

yeah fort lauderdale wouldnt be out of the question, i guess i primarly just want to be in the south beach area. if its cheaper and still is a good town thats more the better. i really need to stay away from the club scene if i can, i had some probs in the past with it, but im fine now, but its just better to not put myself right in the middle of it.

im going to school for business but havent decided yet exactly what i wanna do, probably accounting. i assume there are quite a few schools in that area. i could go to a jr. college for 1 more year if i want or just transfer to a univ. it dosent really matter to me at this point.

man gainesville is a partytown havent seen that much ass yet & i moved away a year and a half ago,but im with rajjin vegas sounds nice to me besides to much young ass in gainesville vegas=older whores=to the point= pop the cialis and fuck

go to tampa if you want to see a lot of ass. shit is ridiculous and so is miami. do they juco thing, florida juco are relatively cheap when it comes to tuition. FTL is more affordable than miami and still fun

my friend was just telling me thathis cousin that lives in FL is going for free. maybe they have a lot of taxes dedicated for the school system cause his cousin is no brain by any means. yeah i think a jr. college would be fine for one more year to save some cash, then i could just transfer.

man i have been looking on the net for schools and its hard to find schools when you havent been there. if anyone has a good school in mind please lemme know. i may transfer to U of M, its only about 30min drive from ft.lauderdale if thats where i decide to stay.

U of Miami is expensive as hell and very difficult to get into unless you run a 4.3 40 with a 42" vertical. Look at a school like Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton (Fort Lauderdale) or Central Florida in Orlando. I know compared to chicago Florida is cheap as hell for living, but jobs are not easy to come by if you're not a native Floridian (who really is?). I lik Rajjin's idea, go to UNLV and live it up in Vegas...where was Rajjin when I went to school? LOL

so you guys think vegas is the place to go, huh? i never really considered it, i guess i just thought of the beach and ocean so florida came to mind cause cal. is outta my price range..lol. i lalways thought of vegas as a place to vacation not to live, but i guess you could also look at florida that way.

i will look into those schools you mentioned, JBK thanks for the advice. i am going to florida sometime in august to look at apartments and visit a couple of schools. as far as you know is florida atlantic a pretty decent college?

as far as work is concerned, im planning on moving back here once im finished up with school, so hopefully that wont be a problem. i have some great friends that i couldnt live without, but i just wanna check out a different scene for a couple years.
