I just started training for the mile (personal goal/might compete at amature level a little), attempting to get as near a sub 4min mile as I can. I'm doing a good deal of cardio. About 40 miles per week broken up in different types of intervals 4-5 times a week.
I am also however lifting 3 times a week DC style, and although I'm above my maintenance level with cals I'm having a hardtime keeping strength levels the same. Especially in my legs which need all the recovery they can get.
I am not on cycle, but am thinking about running a 12 or longer week cycle to aid in recovery and help strength/speed times. Everything is open to suggestion (not just aas) and anything sort of supplement that might help would be very useful.
I'm looking for optimum recovery / joint support - but also limiting getting overly pumped/cramps and high blood pressure. I was thinking test and some EQ but I'm concerned about blood clots as I wouldn't be able to donate blood.
