US National State Parks no more !!!

I found out the other day that over half of your National State Parks, such as Yosamite State Park, were given to the United Nations and no longer belong to the USA !!!

Am i the only person outraged by this closed door deal by the US Gov't???

i did a google search... the only thing international with "parks" in it was that Zimbabwee's parks over over run with elephants

That does not sound correct. In fact, I believe it would take a congressional referrendum to do such a thing as the National Parks are the property of US citizens - not of the government.

I've searched Lexis/Nexis and I turn up nothing relevant.

We now find that at least 20 pieces of American property have been designated as "World Heritage Sites" and so identified with markers. These include Yellowstone and Yosemite national parks, the Grand Canyon, Thomas Jefferson's home Monticello, and, believe it or not, the Statue of Liberty. All of these markings took place without any publicity, without the American people knowing what was going on.
