I really wanna make my girl happy this V-day, but low on cash and dont know what to get/do..i live in a shitty little town with not much to do. I wanted to get her a little somethin or do somethin special then take her to a movie or something..any ideas for me guys?

RONJON

Can you cook? Honestly, there is nothing sexier than a guy cooking or at least making an attempt to..dinner, candles, barry singing in the background...sounds corny..but its sooo sexy and im sure she would love it

... one year I made a cheesy frame with some old pics of me and my girl... It went over well... Usually the things that don't cost alot mean more... Just as long as you make some effort it will be appreciated...

Women love to be romanced and that is the truth. I am with my wife for 19 years. I know her and what she likes. My advice is clean out the bath tub, fill it with nice hot/warm water and sprinkle rose petals in it. I would find some place that has cheap roses. Check the supermarket where they are cheaper. Make sure you light candles all the over place. You can have the dinner before just make sure that is candle lit as well. I do not know what your budget is but if you can give her a card with a bottle of perfume, the dinner, the tub and finish with a massage you are sure to get your gift by the end of the nite.;) You can spend well under $100 on this if you do it right. Good luck.

this is the kinda stuff that makes me look bad! some good ideas, i never do enough on these kind of holiday/anniversary things, guess im afraid to "raise the bar" too high. lol

I'm making a Thai peanut, fish oil, curry chicken and broccoli on rice.
She loves it and I already have almost all the ingredients.
I got a 15 dollar box of chocolate and 1 bottle of wine. Already have candles.
The whole night will cost me less then 35 bucks.

Look at the old Justin Timberlake visit on Saturday Night Live for ideas. He was using a Christmas gift box, but I feel the idea transcends the holiday and would work just as well with a chocolate box.

RonJon:

Seriously, its thought, not money. It does even have to be good, just thoughtful and showing you that 1) You care 2) Your not embarassed to try and show it. Think about it, how many parents have the kids drawings stuck on their fridge like a Rembrandt?

You can do this.

Thanks that makes me feel better.
Thanks everyone for the ideas I appreciate it

Write her a poem, or write and tell her how much she means to you and why.
Follow that up with cooking dinner if possible, and you are set for under $20.

She will love it.

It really is the thought, women love to hear and see emotion from guys.

don't feel bad bro there's a lot of us rite now on a budget. a 2-3 dollar card good and mushy will go a long way

if she loves you, what you spend should not matter. the thought you put into it is what counts. if that does not work she might not be the right one. don't stress half the country is in the same boat.

I cant believe guys you even bother with Valentines day, its overrated. If you truly love your other half then you should make small compliments every day , and not just once a year. Nothing personal here, but I find it pathetic people buying Valentines cards, some 50 inch across in size, flowers and chocolate. It`s another comercial "festive" when retailers grab the opportunity to make money. I`d instead buy flowers every so often and cook meal etc. etc. and make other romantic gestures to express myself.

What are some good tastey meal ideas that someone will little cooking experence and a semi limited budget make?
I really have no idea how to make something and put a side dish with it.
Also I live in georgia so all I'm use to is southern food, and she's few Jersey so it's not really her cup of tea, and i dont think mash potatoes and mac and cheese with a chicken breast and green beans would be her cup of tea.
Thanks for any help.

My gf and I stay home so much that making dinner would be a disappointment for her, maybe some women are different.

Anywho, if you are low on cash and want to buy a nice gift try try QVC or HSN. You can buy a nice gift and make small monthly payments.

Make sauce and meat balls it is very easy. All you need is paste and sauce with your own little seasonings. Add a nice little side salad, two candles, a rose in the center with a card and you are good to go. If you want have a little wine with your meal. Start the sauce early and let it cook all day. The longer you cook it the better it tastes. You can put what you want in the sauce ( green pepper, minced garlic, italian seasoning etc.) Call in sick that day make the sauce, clean the house a little bit and by the end of the day you'llhave a happy lady. I promise.

Gona bull shit with her and see if she likes spaghetti ok.
Any other food ideas I'd apperate, the candles and rose is ok for all meals.
Might just grill her a steak, I know she loves that and well I do too. throw in some green beans and a side salid and hopefully she'll be good to go.

I agree with you 100%. It is all overrated and just another way to make money. I do the same thing you do quite often for my wife. However, what do you do? Do you tell your girl, hey look I do this stuff for you all the time, today you get nothing.
