Web Browser Options

I saw this posted over here not too long ago but can't find it. What are the best web browsers to use in place of Internet Explorer? Too many back doors and spyware attacks on IE. I am tired of them. Also, what is a good security program to run to keep these fucks out? I am currently using Adaware 6.0...Is that enough? Thanks....

Just found 'Mozilla' but not sure which one to download. There is a 'Firefox 0.9' and a 'Mozilla 1.7'....Which one do I need to download?

I use IE on sites I am pretty sure will be safe... just habit. I use Mozilla for places I haven't gone before, net searching or dubious places. If you're ever surfing for porn, use Mozilla... I heard. It helps stop the millions of trojans etc... I was told.

Mozilla Firefox 3.6 is pretty user friendly and good. Also, SAFARI if you have a MAC. It just depends on your preferences

Opera hands down even though i'm using firefox right now. I just can't get away from all the Kah-raze-ee plug ins that kick so much ass. Firefox is a resource hog big time though. Opera is hands down the fastest. I just tested this theory out on my girl's mom's OLD ass computer, it's a 4 year old toshiba satellite and opera runs SMOOTH on it. For all the bad stuff out there on the net nothing compares to good old common sense, a good antivirus (NOT Norton or MCAFEE), peerblock, and a good firewall (built into your router).

Keep in mind the "footprint" of a browser is what makes it such an attraction for malware. When the market is flooded with IE and Firefox thats where you'll see your viruses hit. So the next time an apple fanboy (i love mac BTW..just not a fanboy) runs his or in my case HER mouth about macs don't get viruses tell them that when they get the market share good thing await them.

Either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome for me. Lately I've been using Chrome. It tends to run the fastest for me.

Google Chrome absolutely blows away Firefox and the POS Internet Explorer.

It is great ant user friendly...I never had problems with it, unlike IE...

Google Chrome is the best browser by far. Firefox was great when it first came out but has now become bloated. With chrome you'll find pages load much faster. I work in IT, trust me.
