Seems a silly question after training all these years but I have never tracked food as serious as I want to now. So, do you guys weigh your chicken for instance, raw or cooked and drained?
Got that. ThxEverything raw.
Yes, some people weight it cooked but the others weight is raw. So I am confused for a while, but now I think I'm going to do it raw.I weight meat raw. Seems many pros weigh it cooked. Measure rice etc. uncooked. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter much as long as you do the same thing consistently. You have a baseline to go by.
hahaha, my mom weight it cooked, but weighting it raw is much onvenient for me. Weight, cook, eat.I weight it raw. My mom daily weight food before preparation. I got the same habit now.
yeah! I think measuring food raw or cooked does not matter, because it depends upon how we cook them and what kind of food we're preparing. For instance, if you're cooking green leafy or mushroom their quantity will decrease when you will stir fry them. However, if you boil them the quantity will increase.hahaha, my mom weight it cooked, but weighting it raw is much onvenient for me. Weight, cook, eat.
What the hell are you talking aboutWhether you're trying to bulk up or trim down, getting those portions spot-on can make all the different.
About that coconut powder milk situation... Let me drop some knowledge bombs on ya. Coconut powder milk is legit versatile! You can use it in smoothies, oatmeal, coffee – you name it. Plus, it adds a creamy, tropical vibe that's straight-up delicious.

better to weigh food after cooking it imo/ime, less room for errorRaw, most meats lose at least 10% of their weight when cooked, that weight is mostly water weight so the protein content remains largely the same. Most macro tracking apps can differentiate between cooked and raw meats, veg etc., just keep consistent with how u track the weight and log as u go.
There are several macro tracking apps that are very useful for this. I use a small kitchen scale myself, it's always close to hand where i food prep, usually only takes a few seconds. Doing it so long now it's second nature.
Agree with Nlarge aswell about being able to eyeball it after so long
