Weighing Food

Seems a silly question after training all these years but I have never tracked food as serious as I want to now. So, do you guys weigh your chicken for instance, raw or cooked and drained?

I weight meat raw. Seems many pros weigh it cooked. Measure rice etc. uncooked. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter much as long as you do the same thing consistently. You have a baseline to go by.

I weight it raw. My mom daily weight food before preparation. I got the same habit now.

Yes, some people weight it cooked but the others weight is raw. So I am confused for a while, but now I think I'm going to do it raw.

hahaha, my mom weight it cooked, but weighting it raw is much onvenient for me. Weight, cook, eat.
yeah! I think measuring food raw or cooked does not matter, because it depends upon how we cook them and what kind of food we're preparing. For instance, if you're cooking green leafy or mushroom their quantity will decrease when you will stir fry them. However, if you boil them the quantity will increase.

Always cooked as far as meat goes. Seems like weighing it raw would be a major pain if you’re prepping a decent amount. Having to keep it separated while it cooks would suck.
Stuff like rice or other carbs gets weighed twice actually. The entire amount of servings to cook then individually as it goes into portions

Cooked for me, too! But also I agree that if you are doing it consistently one way or the other it doesn't matter because you can adjust your intake accordingly like what was stated above.

I always weigh my food after preparing them. That being said, as others have pointed out, consistency is really the key. Do it the same way every time and acclimate to it. Adjust as needed to reach your goals.

Whether you're trying to bulk up or trim down, getting those portions spot-on can make all the different.
About that coconut powder milk situation... Let me drop some knowledge bombs on ya. Coconut powder milk is legit versatile! You can use it in smoothies, oatmeal, coffee – you name it. Plus, it adds a creamy, tropical vibe that's straight-up delicious.

As for weighing your food, lemme break it down for ya. It's not just for hardcore bodybuilders or fitness freaks. Nah, nah, nah. It's for anyone who wants to take control of their nutrition and reach their goals, whatever they may be. So, if you're serious about making gains or shredding fat, investing in a good food scale is the move.

It is important to have a certain level of consistency in your eating habits.

I`ve never weighed any food in my life! That would be miserable always getting the scale out to cook. I have no problem making my goals either.
