Weird ass emails.

Here's one of the many strange emails I've been getting for the last month, or two. There's always a detailed story of some sort and someone wanting my info so they can give me a portion of their "fortune" in return for my "help". My fiancee has been getting them also. Does anyone else get this crap, or know what it is?

Greetings to you in the name of our heavenly God.
This mail might come to you as a surprise and the
temptation to ignore it as unserious could come into
your mind; but please, consider it a divine wish and
accept it with a deep sense of humility. My name is
FULLER ANDRAIN . I’m a 40 years old man. I am American
living in Dubai (United Arab Emirate). I was a
merchant and owned two businesses in Dubai. I was
also married with two children. My wife and two
children died in a car accident six years ago.
Before this happened my business and concern for
making money was all I lived for. I never really
cared about other values in life. But since the loss
of my family, I have found a new desire to assist
helpless families. I have been helping orphans in
orphanage/ motherless homes. I have donated some
money to orphans in Sudan, South Africa, Cameroon,
Brazil, Spain, Austria, Germany and some Asian
countries. Before I became ill, I kept $15 Million
in a long-term deposit account in a finance
company . Presently, I’m in a
hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for
oesophageal cancer. I have since lost my ability to
talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a
few months to live. It is my last wish to see this
money distributed to charity organizations. Because
relatives and friends have plundered so much of my
wealth since my illness, I cannot live with the
agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any
of them. Please, I beg you in the name of God to
help me collect the deposit and the interest accrued
from the company and distributes it
amongst charity organizations. Use your judgement to
distribute the money and feel free to reimburse
yourself when you have the money for any cost you
incur during the process of collecting and
distributing the money to charity organizations. .
I’m willing to offer you a reward If you are willing
to help; please reply as soon as you can. May the
good Lord bless you and your family.

I get several of those a day. Its gotten to the point that if I dont check my email daily my email gets overloaded. Do you by any chace have cyber-rights email service?

I only have a hushmail and a ziplip account. The hushmail doesn't get bothered because very few people know about it, but the ziplip is getting filled with crap daily. It's to the point that I can't really even use it anymore.

It's a bullshit scam!

I got the first one of these about a year ago. They usually are from someone in Nigeria, who's somehow managed to get money out of the country, but claims they need your help to retreive it from some bank account in the Netherlands, or Belgium, or wherever,

I actually talked to one of these people one the phone once to see what the scam was. They usually want you to send them your bank account numbers so they can deposit funds, and copies of your passport (can you say, Identity Theft?). They'll also want you to sent them some "small" sum like $1500 for "fees," but figure you won't object since they're telling you you'll be getting millions.

The other scam is to tell you you've won something like the Swiss or German lottery (a real trick since I never entered such a thing). These crooks also want you to send funds for "transfer fees," etc.

I like to fuck with these people by telling them I'll put the "fees" in an escrow account to be paid at the time of funds dispersal, and since they "know" I'm going to get millions, there should be no question as to whether these "fees" can be paid. I never hear from them again, though I do get another such offer periodically.

Thank's for the info, Dad. I knew it had to be a scam. Either that, or I thought someone was trying to get my info so they could fuck me over. Lord knows I've pissed off enough people in my day that someone could want to screw me.

I have been getting them for about the last 3-4 years. In the beginning they were actuall letters though-seemed more realistic back then.

Even before getting them on the net, I would get them to my business. Always an official looking letter from Africa from some guy with a title like "Finance Minister" or some bullshit.
Lots of gangs in Nigeria who have been doing this for years.
