i don't have times i do everything, as i work 3 different shifts, so i'll just give an example of what i do on a day off. but it's usually the same template i follow. working only 3 shifts a week sees me with a lot of free time.
-wake up without alarm clock- usually somewhere between 9-11am.
-brush teeth, wash up, put contacts in.
-go downstairs, take BCAA's. i don't eat at this time.
-train, or if im training later that day try to stay active doing yard work, doing errands for at least an hour but usually more before i eat.
-eat, usually a shake and some almonds to start off.
-read, nap.
-eat, either a shake, or bbq up some chicken. if im bbq'ing chicken i'll have yam with it. i seldom eat red meat. not that i don't like it, i just try not to eat it after i train.
-train if i didnt train in the am.
-BCAA's when i get home and again try to stay active for at least an hour afterwards before i eat.
-last meal. usually im pretty hungry by this point and eat everything in sight as it seems my body really really demands calories from me later at night. thats why i eat so little thru the day- my body makes little demand for calories at that time. tonite i know for a fact i ate in the neighbourhood of 2500cal in my last meal. very dumb but was pretty hungry.
just now reading this i have come to the conclusion that im doing a lot of shit wrong- by eating so much so late at night am i shortchanging what fat burning i have going on thru the day maybe? am i taking one step forward and two steps back? i'm going to have to re-think this. in the last month i have been off my diet i have gotten fatter, so i would have to say yes, i am sabotaging myself.
wow- i also realised just now someone with as much time on my hands as i have should have a much better physique (in my opinion- im one of those who looks in the mirror and sees nothing but flaws, whereas some look in the mirror and see nothing but greatness). there is no excuse for me to not have the body i have always wanted due to time constraints. i have the size i want, i'd just like to refine it, become leaner, look sharper and fill out problem areas more.
im honestly going to think about the notion of hiring a trainer from amongst one of us- so many good guys who know their shit. i have been kicking it around for a while. just for the dietary aspect of things. i like my method of training but admittedly do not do cardio (kinda a doggcrap style with added sets and 20 seconds rest between drops, and just enough time between working sets to get to the next exercise and go, not heavy weight, but lighter weight i feel, thus the extra sets as there is less worry about my CNS getting fried)
yup. glad i stopped in here and answered this- else i may have gone on just following the same routine, getting the same results.
