What Members on this Board are going to be doing a NQ this year?

I know that we a have a ton of national-level competitors on this board. Are any of you going to be qualifying for nationals (or re qualifying)? What event are you going to be qualifying at? If you want to keep your anominity I understand.

I believe the USA is in Las Vegas this year. I may be going to this.

Hell, the event I'm doing (I found this out after I committed to doing it) is an NQ for Team Universe. But, I'm not trying to qualify, just WIN!

Iam doing a little local show may 4, my first time hanging with the adults lol. Will probely do very very well. Iam using it as a learning experience with gear and diet and gonna hopefully hit an npc show out here in cali. Vegas huh thats not that long of drive I might have to go see it

It is by weight class, so I can pursue 2 things I really enjoy, weight lifing and triathlons.

SO basically I am one of the biggest triathletes and the scranniest bodybuilders.

seriously considering it, maybe in september, get qualified and bulk then in the spring get ready for a national show, still contemplating though depends how motivated i get and pissed off about my 3rd place finish last show,thought i shoulda won , or took at the least second, hopefully ill get mad enough and come in just ridiculous looking (shredded) so there are no questions.

I'll be getting ready for some shows coming up here in the spring. I'm hoping to come in at 250 pretty shredded.
But then, who isn't hoping to come in shredded? lol.
I'm 6'2" so I don't think 250 is as big as I should be for my height.
Not sure about nationals though. I would have to take a few overall trophies before I would feel confident to go there.
It would be cool to compete against Jumbo Palumbo though! lol.

well toney freeman won ther Nattys last year at 6 2 and not much over 250 , but he was no doubt dialed in and has great aesthetics

Yeah, I saw that and it did give me a reality check for size. I just think it may take me a few more years to pack on a few extra pounds in my weakest areas before going into something like nationals. For me, it is alot about how comfortable I feel with myself and my overall package. I can honestly say that I'm really not far behind Freeman in aesthetics and symmetry. I just never get too much over 10% bf and never really feel "big enough" to feel REALLY confident to diet down and hope my size will hold for the shows. But I do realize it is about conditioning, more than size.
I can say this about this year, I'll be going in the best condition ever for me and be the biggest I've ever been on stage. And with that being the case, what else can I hope for out of myself?
I'll improve every year and really try to accomplish what I want.
That is what bodybuilding is about for me.
All the shows I'm planning on doing are national qualifiers. It's the only ones worthwhile training for.

I agree 100% and its sounds like you are on top of your game and know where ya stand

by the way JM from Anabolic Extreme posted some new pics of Freeman on animals board that are about 20lbs LBM thicker...the boy is eriously gifted in the aesthetics dept. and the size is coming so soon he will be a major playa it seems

for me though at this stage of the game its get a pro card and go from there or if i do not take it then i may just look into doing some BB modeling which i have been offered in the past

hopefully we see lots of guys from these boards hit there goals this year
