Who has developed nice shoulders without doing OHP?

If you are doing incline barbell press, you may not need OHP

Side laterals and upright rows work for me. No OHP needed.
 
The are not needed at all but I still do them. Lateral and Rear Delt Raises plus your chest pressing are all anyone really needs.
 
Kneeling landmine presses feel much better for the shoulders for me.
 
Levrone says he wouldn't have developed his without behind neck presses.
 
Upright barbell rows are where it's at.

Levrone could've done handstand pushups, and still developed more impressive shoulders than the rest of us.
 
All I've ever done is lateral raises and face pulls, and the first thing anyone ever comments on is my delts.
 
My shoulders are arguably my strong point and I have always emphasized overhead presses of some sort, for what it's worth
 
Why don't you add them in last when your shoulders are exhausted and warmed up?

Do all your other delt work then jump in the smith machine and do a partial range of motion press working the middle 3/5 with a light weight for higher reps.

Don't forget your rotator cuff exercises.
 
I stopped doing overhead presses for the most part 20 years ago. And they look at least as good as those that do them. Back and chest work stimulated the nerves quite well.
 
I stopped doing overhead press years ago and ive made the best progress since just with side laterals, referse flys for delts. My front delts overpower and respond ridiculously to flat bench so no need. I found out actually i was overtraining my front delts when doing oh press or any front iso movements so of course when i stopped they grew.

Mine used to be a weak point because I never did any OH pressing. Now they are a strong point of mine and I do plenty of pressing.

I think most will need pressing because doing laterals and such I see too many guys flinging and jerking the weight. Db exercises seem to be the ones most people use improper form on.
 
side laterals and rear delts on the incline bench , front heads are easy work on the others and your shoulders will be round and nice
 
Im no guru but I will say this: I have better delt caps now than I ever have before and I have shifted focus away from shoulder presses of any kind and emphasized blood volume training delts with lateral raises, upright rows and rear delt work. I used to kill myself with ultra heavy military dumbell presses in college. Literally never do them anymore and my delts are way better these days with lateral raises focused on form, TUT and blood volume.
