Who on here just relies on a food based diet

I'm wondering who here relies on a total food based diet without the addition of supplementation?

I saw a guy I know at the gym the other night and he was looking a lot better than he usually does. I asked him what had changed and he has dropped the supplements from his diet and is now just trying to have little snack meals in the place of when he used to have his shakes throughout the day.
 
I quit with the shakes myself. I havent been nearly as bloated. Still use the AAS tho
 
Magnum has me on food only now..at first he had me on a couple shakes a day...But those are now gone..I do believe that food is better than whey shakes...
 
considering i get the runs 95% of the time after drinking a shake (tried numerous brands) i RARELY drink shakes anymore and feel muuuch better. ppl always ask me what supplemtents i take and i say food...and plenty of it ...i leave out the AAS part though :cool:
 
I would do a whole food diet, however, my hectic schedule makes that a very difficult thing. However, I do limit myself to 2 shakes a day. Eh, 5 whole food meals a day for me along with the 2 shakes, is what I do and I find it has given me pretty good results.
 
Food Intake is The right Way

For me Time is Key I'm stuck at a Desk 9-10hrs a day so I rely on Shakes more than Others, If I could eat every hour I would and throw the Shakes bye bye. On the Other hand I know guys that eat Tuna and Chicken all day but they Pop BCAA's I think it is Must also.
 
There is a reason they are called supplements. That said I still tend to add in fish oil, a multi, and vitamin c. Whey isolate shakes get tossed in as a convenience but I bbq on sundays and cook up chicken and steak for the week for convenience.

took the words out of my mouth!! I get real food when possible, but it just can't happen as much as I want. Not to mention I'm a poor ass university student (almost done though, thank god!) and frankly, a shake meal is cheaper than chicken, rice and broccoli! I do the best I can with what I have!
 
whole foods beat out shakes anyday. that is a no brainer. shakes help and are generally more of a matter of convience. if ya can do it without that is great, but it won't hurt you to use a shake or 2
 
Whole foods will always be better.

I dropped the shakes. LBA's are the ONLY protein supplement I take in currently. Strengtht is through the roof, I'm leaning out, loosing fat and gaining muscle.
