I'm thinking about putting together a special package deal for next year's Arnold. Let me know if any of you would be interested in this...
For novice, intermediate and advanced amateur videographers!
A chance to meet the stars of bodybuilding in person and contribute to a one-of-a-kind, behind the scenes documentary about one of the biggest events in the sport...
The Arnold Classic!
Join us for a one day seminar the day before the show. There I (and maybe a few guests!) will demonstrate and help you master the guerilla documentary techniques that have made Raising the Bar 1 & 2 and The Vicky Nixon story some of the most unique bodybuilding DVDs in the history of the sport.
On the day(s?) of the show I will act as director and send my "units" out to capture whatever they can find. Some may shadow and cover a particular competitor exclusively. Some will shoot the preparations for the show. Others may interview attendees and be free to try to catch the general mayhem that is That Arnold Classic in any way they can.
After the show all of the footage will be woven into a documentary that will reflect the unique viewpoints and styles of each of the shooters. (I'm still debating as to whether each shooter should edit his/her own segment or if it should all be edited by one person.) The result will be a very personal video document of the event like it has never been seen before!
What do y'all think? Is this something you'd like to do? It won't be cheap, it'll cost a few bucks to put this together, but I think it'll be worth it.
This is still a very rough idea at this point and the particulars may change but I'd like to see if there is interest first before I go forward.
Thanks,
Mike
