about to cook my first pork loin!

Been reading how good this stuff is, supposed to be pretty lean for pork and juicy. I read to baste with oil-I am assuming olive as that is my favorite-put fat side up in roasting pan cook 20 mins per pound to start, I think at 325. I have a monster this sucker is 7 lbs...going to be my prepacked lunch for the week! Any seasoning/recipe ideas?

Use a meat theremometer to make sure it is done all the way, pork should be 170 degrees. I like garlic & pepper.

Make sure you dont over cook it. I like to pull it out before it hits temp and let it rest for 10min or so. It will keep cooking and retain more moisture.

Yes that is what I did...turned out great! I have enough left over to last a week! Nice and juicy though...didn't take as long in the oven as I expected. Nearly 8 lber took less than 1.5 hrs @325.

I like doing smaller ones on the pit, so good.

pork loin on the pit with some rib rub....easy and tastey!
Yeah it was really easy...cannot wait to get my next one! Still eating leftovers from mine, just as good as when it came out of the oven!

Ive just bought a ton of these as there half price in tescos. Ive been doing in the george forman grill and cracking a load of black peeper on them. Very nice and high in protein too

I'd cut up some carrots, potatoes, onions, and some garlic and place them at the bottom of your pork. Elevate your pork on a cooking rack within the pan, and sprinkle rosemary, diced garlic and salt & pepper over the pork and veggies. After cooking you have veggies with a good broth infuised with your tender meat. Works for any kind of meat really.
