Interesting video which delves into the optimal LDL levels for adults. It seems like the paradigm may be shifting, and it may be misguided to try and get LDL as low as possible.

As a side note; if you're interested in longevity, Michael Lustgartens YouTube channel is phenomenal.

I doubt that steroids and longevity can fit in the same sentence... But anyway good video! Thanks! 🙏

The goal is to be smart and attempt to offset the negative impact of AAS all other deleterious environmental factors as much as we reasonably can.

Thank you for posting. The more info on the subject the better.

I know a cardiologist personally and we have discussed this topic. He firmly believes that LDL should be pushed to 70 or below. From my understanding the research shows that it's very difficult for the body to create plaque when LDL is below 70. When they discuss ACM in the video that data is a little bit different in the study they are referencing.

I would say if you want to push the gear here and there, it's best to try and keep it towards 70 (def under 100). This will help make up a little bit for the HDL suppression. Unfortunately they do not study any gear users and how everything correlates with the lifestyle we live.

My last blood work 8 weeks ago my ldl was 138 😦

If some one thinks that heart problems are their biggest worry, then low cholesterol levels may be what they should shoot for. But for surviving all cause mortality higher levels seem to be the goal, 220ish. Most studies i have seen recently show what is best for the heart may not be what is best for the body in general. My LDL was 75 on my last test. I have been trying to get my cholesterol higher of years. I personally am more worried about cancer and stroke then a heart attack. This study with 12.8 million people points to higher levels then what the medical profession usually shoots for. But they are geared towards the heart when it comes to cholesterol levels. Each specialist looks at things from their own perspective.

"LDL" is the amount of cholesterol being carried by low-density lipoproteins and HLD is the amount carried by high-density lipoproteins, neither necessarily has anything to do with total serum cholesterol levels.

Check the ApoB. More significantly than the LDL
