Bacteria infested Gear

I have used Mex gear for sometime now. QV, Sydgroup and Animal power I have never had a problem with. Both Loeffler and Pet's Pharma have definitely been contaminated with bactaria. On a number of occasions I have had site infections after injections. I always wipe the site with a alcohol swab before injecting. I have been told a number of different ways to kill the bactaria in the bottle's. First put a needle into the stopper of the bottle and make sure the needle does touch the solution ( gear ). This will help the bottle to breath when you bake it in the oven. My question is how long should I bake the gear and at what tempature???

How long do they last? days or weeks. Are you really going to put it in the oven?

was experiencing the same problem at one time
270f for 20mins then refilter into a sterile vial
It could be that the Ba content is high also, good luck

What do you mean by site infections?

If its just getting red and swollen its probably just a reaction to the high amount of BA.

Yeah, there's a big difference in high ba and an infection. If you had an actual infection, most likely you would've had to take some antibiotics. If it's something that went away by itself, it was probably just irritation from the ba. That swelling and soreness seems to be damn near inescapable when you're using underground or vet stuff. Dilute with oil is my motto. If you're absolutely convinced that something is contaminated, you can heat it. I've never found it to be necessary though and I don't really think it's a good idea.

WEll I had a buddy that did 1.5CC in his biceps....and they swelled up HUGE his arm went from 18.5 to 20.5...I thought he had an abcess, but the swelling came in 16 hours after inject....it was by far the worse looking reaction I have seen...his other bicep did the same, but not as bad...So I would say it sounds like a reaction to BA not an infection...

If it was an ifection, you would know...you could not bend or move that area...hot to the touch...swelling more and more each day...and you would be feeling ill...fever and aches.
