finally bit the bullet and bought a Total Blender Classic Wildside by Blendtec. Great blender, the one used in Jambajuice and Starbucks but not the pro model. Still over $300.00 but worth it.

That's the same one I have. I can put handfuls of baby spinach in my shakes and there is no trace of leafy matter at all!

A good blender is worth its weight in gold. I have both a Vitamix and a Blendtec. I love both of them. I think I like the Vitamix a little better, but it's hard to give solid reasons why, since both do their job of blending very well. I think the Vitamix has a slightly larger jar and it's a little quieter.

If you don't want to fork out the money on a Vitamin the Ninja's are amazing and less than half the price of a Vitamin. Later Fina

Every kitchen I've worked in over the last 30 years had at least one Robot-Coupe. A bit pricey for a home kitchen, but since they are NSF certified, you can buy one and really never buy another.

Yep, if your making soup no need for additional heating. lol steams comes right out the top. Vitamix is the best.

VItamix is great but expensive....I bought the Ninja and am very happy with its performance. I still use my hand blender though as well. Just full transparency. LOL
