Best place to get/order berberine from?

I’ve been taking metformin for about a year now and while I like it I want to try berberine after some articles I’ve read. Things that concerned me about metformin: thyroid issues, b12 issues and energy issues.

Where is the most reputable place to order berberine and how much are you taking per day or meal? What is your timing? Thanks!

Berberine does NOT lose effectiveness overtime. It also doesn't cause cancer. Next week there will be a study claiming vitamin C causes cancer.....it just doesn't happen but it's a nice story.

You're very naive. Don't take everything you read as absolute.

Take the time to read these articles. Then slowly digest them, then repeat. Understandably some of these articles are uncomprehensive to the layperson. Yet, if you allow your mind to comprehend what you're reading, things become a bit clearer.

I'll decipher this for you in very simplic terms by 'underlining' a few words on one of the last paragraphs linked within that article.

As hormetic effect was considered a universal adaptive response to low dose (sub-lethal) cytotoxic agents, our study suggested cautious application of natural compounds and relevant herbs, which could cause obvious hormetic response, in adjuvant treatment of cancer.

By itself, berberine didn't appear to 'cause' cancer or increased cell proliferation. It was observed when used in combination with a chemotherapy drug is when these geeks noticed increasing rates of proliferation.

These results indicated that low dose BER activated MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways, which might be responsible for the hormetic effect and inhibition of anticancer activity of chemotherapeutic agents by BER.

Since this thread got bumped with spam , I do have a question . I noticed lots of guys are taking berberine at about 500mg . I recently switched to dihydroberberine , it's supposed to be more bioavailable and last longer in your system . The recommended dosage is 100mg . Does anyone have any experience with dihydroberberine ?

It’s the Wild Wild West when it comes to all of these unregulated supps so I try to stick with well-known brands but let’s face it, that doesn’t count for a ton over all. Lol.
