Essentially, they perform an edoscopy, a colonoscopy, mri, etc and if they can’t find a physiological explanation for what you have….they say you have ibs. Ssri like amitryptyline and Prozac are front line drugs prescribed for treatmentThat is surprising, what is the process for being diagnosed with IBS? Are they actually scanning people, tests, or just going on if the person says they don't digest well and have problems? I feel like big Pharma and research are tied hand and hand, profit runs the show.
