That's why I said focus on improving your physique, and preserve your body. At your age you are putting lots of stress on your body trying to get to extremely low Bf levels, all just to possibly place good at a meaningless show.
What's the end game of competing for you? Pro card, probably not. Just doing it for fun? Love being on stage for 30secs? then step on stage as is no one will really care
would your sponsors rather you stick to your commitment to doing the show or wait for you to compete when you are more on point?
Idk who your sponsors are or how you looked at past shows, but I'd imagine they'd expect a similar look or something better so I'd hold off and work on filling out more and dropping a few more lbs.
That's just me though. When I have competed I had no commitments so it wasn't an issue if I wanted or needed to back out for any reason.
I wouldn't compete until you feel your at your best. A few years after I was married my wife wanted to compete and she wanted me to compete with her. It was quite awkward because she wanted to compete in a natural show and the judges all knew me from past competitions in the area. I committed to just doing a couples routine with her and worked pretty hard to get into shape but was not by any means contest ready. It was odd to here the comments from people who knew me from the past......you would think I was washed up or a has been. Haha fortunately I competed quite a few more times after and redeemed myself.
