I was shocked at the big groups of Chinese tourists I witnessed in Italy. They were rather rude. Just about all carried open umbrellas and as a group they moved as a wedge that just pushed everyone else out of their path. They were on a mission! My family soon learned to just get out of their way.

A few times I stood my ground and made them stream around me.

I spent a good portion of my life in Asia and mainland chinese(especially in those tour groups) are fairly hated by everyone there. Lot's of the bathrooms in Thailand have signs in chinese with pictures to not wash your feet or urinate in the sink lol. Then again in Asia there's a lot of "racism"(more class system) between the countries and a pecking order which is quite complicated and took me years to grasp.

I do lot's of business with Chinese and if your understand the system its great, I think the issue is the bus tours are usually people that cant afford anything/aren't as educated and go on these tours so its a poor representation of the people. Middle class/uper class don't go on tours like that, they do their own thing.

I can't imagine this is a weaponized virus.. a 2.5% kill rate is quite poor for something engineered specifically to kill.

Look at MERS, another cross-species mutant that had a near 40% kill rate. Covid-19 is another evolution of a virus family that has been here in Earth longer than us, and will surely outlive our species.

I say this knowing that having severe asthma I stand a good chance of being a statistic. Nonetheless, I can't see this as an engineered bioweapon.

An EMP does not directly kill but none the less is a potentially catastrophic weapon. A virus does not need to kill to effectively hurt an enemy. Financially this has the potential to be extremely destructive to a nation. If it were to get bad enough can you imagine what would happen to China, and the global economy, if all shipments from China were to be rejected by receiving nations??? Walmart would have bare shelves inside of a week and China's economy would implode. What would 90% of US companies that sell consumer goods suddenly had no means of restocking???

I am not saying this was a weapon but a low mortality disease that takes two weeks to show symptoms and spreads quickly IMO can be a weapon.

Ive made the same point to the 5g conspiracy theorists. Killing your clients is a horrible business model. That and there would be piles of bodies all over south korea. The number one goal of a company is to make money, literally killing the people who pay you is not what they are setting out to do.

Then i get another conspiracy to explain the 5g conspiracy. Its conspiracies all the way down.

People are talking about coronavirus being a weapon as a fact. Theres a whole lot of emotion behind these conspiracies so I try to stay away.

The theory about it being a bioweapon is that the virus got out accidently, it wasn't intentional. Bioweapons are designed to be used on the enemy. Personally I don't think it was created in a lab, but I do think it is small minded to rule it out completely. The only biolab in all of China that could handle dangerous viruses like this is in Wuhan. Just a coincidence?

i believe it’s a bio weapon that accidentally got out. The problem with this virus if someone can be exposed without knowing .. and transmit it to others and it stay dormant for 10-14 days before signs, by this time.. it’s game over for hundreds that it’s spread too and then more and more as it did.

I’d bet it all that at the bioweapon lab, in Wuhuan , someone accidentally , not -knowing .. was carrying or infected with the virus while working with it and it was taken into the public and sadly... did what it is excatly designed to do ..

Occams razor is the rule. Not the exception.

I agree that chances are it is a virus that developed naturally in the wild, but I do not believe the bioweapon theory can be ruled out 100%.

Could be that they released the virus to get something going to overshadow the Hong Kong situation. seemed like that was getting out of control and could have been a threat to xi's power. eventually when the virus has served its purpose they will release the cure and everyone will forget all this happened. people have no attention span now a days they only care about whats going on in their little cell phone. all people today for the most part are detached from reality and face zero hardships. those who think they have it tough and face hardship don't know what hardship is. people who have acess to the internet are not poor and do not live a difficult life.

Here's the problem with that argument. Similar meat markets (and probably worse ones) exist in the thousands in China. Yet the outbreak allegedly took place at that particular food market that happens to be within a couple hundred yards of a facility of the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, the only lab in China designated for studying dangerous pathogens like SARS and Ebola (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/...udying-SARS-Ebola-Wuhan-outbreaks-center.html). There have also been precedents in China and across the world where viruses escaped labs. So Occam's razor would actually favor the theory that the virus escaped from a lab due to human error, not some conspiracy to kill off the boomers.

The paper, written by a large group of Chinese researchers from several institutions, offers details about the first 41 hospitalized patients who had confirmed infections with what has been dubbed 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). In the earliest case, the patient became ill on 1 December 2019 and had no reported link to the seafood market, the authors report. “No epidemiological link was found between the first patient and later cases,” they state. Their data also show that, in total, 13 of the 41 cases had no link to the marketplace. “That’s a big number, 13, with no link,” says Daniel Lucey, an infectious disease specialist at Georgetown University.
