Alright here it goes. I have a friend that was taking Test Prop for a few reasons. 1. Less water held. 2. In and Out of system in 3 weeks from last shot (Testing reasons) 3. All around good for cutting and putting on a little size.
With all that aside. He was taking 1cc EOD for 6.5 weeks, then 1.5cc for 3 weeks and 1.75cc for 1 week. 11 weeks total. No sides during cycle. one week after the last shot. Acne came up real bad on Back, Chest, Shoulders and Face. PCT he is using Nolvdex, Attack (made by KiloSport) Which is a Anti-Estrogen. Dave Palumbo said that Attack was 10 times stronger then 6-0X0, and even stronger then Nolvadex. His taking Nolvadex for 5 weeks stacked with Attack for the first 3 weeks and then switching to 6-0X0 stacked with an Anti-Aromatization formula that as Tribulus Terrestris 200mg, Chrysin 100mg and DIM 100mg for a total of 6 weeks of PCT. And know is his question. What is causeing the major Acne? By the way he made get gains in strength and size. He gained a total of 10-15 lbs and no water weight. He made great gains in strength everytime in the gym.

they actually...

prescribe estrogen or "birth control" pills to people for acne, estrogen is very good for the skin, like women, makes it nice, snooth acne free, and soft. Testosterone makes the body produce more sebum an oily residue that comes out of your pores and once the bacteria or whatever is blocking the pore stays there and no oxygen can get to it u get an infection. I would suggest to get off that est blocker what was the brand name again? I remem Dave talking bout that too. that way he can even up his hormones, yea he may gain some water retention.. whoopdie do, better then connect the dots on your back.
gooey

heres some info

[Estrogen and androgen receptors in patients with acne vulgaris (author's transl)]

[Article in German]

Schmidt JB, Spona J.

Fifteen male and 9 female patients between 14 and 41 years of age who suffered from acne were included in this study. Sixteen endocrine normal males and 27 females were used as controls. Skin and venous blood samples were taken from both normal and acne patients. Specific estrogen and androgen receptor levels were assayed under conditions resulting in the estimation of unoccupied receptor levels, and the charcoal technique was utilized. Testosterone serum levels were determined by radioimmunoassay. No estrogen receptors could be found in the normal skin. Of the male and female acne patients 93 and 78%, respectively, were estrogen receptor-positive, and their levels were between 11 and 275 fmol/mg cytosol protein. On the other hand, 31 and 48%, respectively, of the male and female acne patients were androgen receptor-positive, and their receptor levels were between 35 and 213 fmol/mg cytosol protein. A correlation of r = 0.71 between estrogen and androgen receptor levels was noted in the female subjects, but no correlation was found in the male subjects. A correlation between testosterone serum levels and androgen receptor levels of r = 0.77 and r = 0.66, respectively, was noted in the female and male acne patients. The results of the present investigation suggest that androgen receptor levels play an important role in acne patients with normal testosterone serum levels. In addition, the presence of estrogen receptor levels in acne patients indicates a possible therapy by anti-estrogens or estrogens.

Sounds like he wasn't on the estrogen blocker when the acne started but I may be wrong.

It may just an imbalance of the test/estro ratio, pretty common in some people and never happens to others.

I would suggest Doxiciline 100mg a day til it starts clearing up which in my experience is only a matter of a few days.

He is not really taking Nolvdex it is Tamoxifen Citrate. He thought that it may not be as strong. He is taking 20mg 2 times daily with the ATTACK? Should he drop the ATTACK? Also he as been just taking Tamoxifen Citrate with soda. Is that alright.

Tamoxiphen Citrate is the generic name for the brand name drug Nolvadex C.E.R.T. His HPTA is in the process of recovering...during this phase post cycle, acne tends to get worse. Your friend needs to accept this fact, take multiple showers each day and try to get some sun. This will help to clear up his complexion. Tamoxiphen Citrate would only be indicated if he was developing gynecomastia and has no therapeutic effect on acne. He might also go to his physician and get a prescription for accutane.

Are you saying his freind shouldn't be taking nolva for PCT?

What is Doxiciline? He had Acne a little bit on Cycle but it spread to his back and chest real bad as soon as he started PCT. Does this mean test levels are still to high. Or did Test levels drop After the cycle was over, then When he started PCT his estrogen level dropped even more. Keeping test levels still a lot higher then normal? If ATTACK is that strong do you think it would be a great supplement to take on it's own. Or is the stack of Tam.C. with ATTACK that is making it that strong?

doxycycline is an antibiotic that has was suggested to controle acne by Big A from this board. I tried it and it worked great. I did a search on the internet and bought some a couple years ago and am still using it. I find that if I start it with the first sign of acne I only need a couple days of it.

Sun tanning only made my acne worse, and buckets of B6 and all the different acne washes 3 showers a day etc etc did nothing for me, but everyone is different.

Personally I wouldn't use Acutane, too hard on the liver especially when you may have already strained it with the AS usage.

Is Doxycycline legal or not? Would you just take it to counter acne? Does one just take it for a couple of days? Or just take it when the problem pops up? (get it pops up)(ok that was dumb anyways) Since it is an antibo....do you need a doctors note? I know these are a lot of questions, but he is going to ask me al these. He doesn't have the internet.

Doxy is legal by prescription only.
Crowler...sorry, for the misscommunication, either nolva or clomid for PCT. I read into his post that he was using the Nolva specifically for the acne flare-up...my bad. As for tanning...it always cleared up my acne but maybe my living in Hawaii has something to do with that :D
Doing short bouts of any antibiotic is not a good practice. That's why we have VRE and MRSA these days. I agree though that Acutane can be a bit harsh on the liver especially after a long bout of AAS but when looking at his cycle I don't see any orals so I would think the risk would be small.

BEEN THERE MANY TIMES!

After every single cycle I do, for the past decade, I get killer acne. I am 35 friggin years old and I get the same acne I got when I was 16 - only 10X worse. Can you imagine how stupid a man in his 30's looks with acne covering his shoulders, back, chest, and face?!?

Here's what I do...

About 1 week before the END OF MY CYCLE I begin taking 100 mg/day of Minocycline. In my opinion, it's more effective than the doxy and cheaper. I run that protocol until about 1 month after my post-cycle therapy has ended and no problems.

Seriously, this works for me like a charm!

Is Minocycline prescription only also? I found places on the net were it looked like you could just order doxy with out a prescription.

Both are Rx only, but any doc will be willing to write it for you. They are both proven acne treatments. The doxy is minocycline-based, but in an extended releare formula, thus it's more expensive.

I believe there may be some Canadian sites that will ship it w/out a Rx since it's not a controlled substance - but don't hold me to that!
