Dexter Jackson's diet plan for me

O.K. as some of you guys might remember Dexter's helping get ready for my contest. When I got this from him my first thought was "I did this last time I dieted". So I was a little disappointed, but maybe other people can benifit from it, so here you go.


Breakfast egg whites 8 (1yolk)
Oatmeal 1 cup you can use grits as a sub
DHEA 200mg
Potassium 150mg



Snack Meal replacement 1 add 1 scoop of protein
add 1 scoop of glutamine


Lunch Chicken Breast 8 oz
Baked potato 1 you can sub with 1 cup rice
Potassuim 150mg

Snack Meal Replacement 1 add 1 scoop of protein
add 1 scoop of glutamine


Dinner Fish 8oz orange roughy/talapia
you can sub with chicken

Green beans 1 cup you can sub with broccoli

DHEA 200mg
Potassium 150mg

Snack Protein Shake 1 Whey
you can sub with 8egg whites


Water 1-1 1/2 gallon





Comments:
Be sure to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours
Add 1 extra protein shake on days you wake up at 4 am for work
Do 2 30 min. cardio sessions 6X's/wk


This isn't an exotic diet or anything, but this is the one Dexter gave me so I decided to share it with you guys. I actually had been on this diet for two weeks before he give to me, so you can imagine I wanted to laugh when I looked at it

I'm also wonder what some of the experts onthis board think (I think it's pretty generic)

1. Are you CERTAIN IT IS 200mg DHEA and not 25mg twice daily?
2. Potassium? I don't understand why this amount.

Have you had a blood test done lately?
 
Yeah I left out when I got the diet I tried the potassuim and for some reason it bloated me and I felt like crap, so I stopped the next day. And yes, it printed out that way twice (200mg)
 
Umm...Looks like a very simplistic, common sense, pre-contest/weight-loss diet. Not very meticulous or specific as in carb rotation, EFA's, etc...seems like a cut and paste diet from flex magazine. Will he manipulate things every few weeks and make decisions with the diet every so often or was this like a 100-200 dollar one time diet outline?
 
this is by no means an attack on you eroc...

but asking dexter jackson what diet he follows pre-contest or even offseason is like asking bo jackson how he got so good at football and baseball.
 
not to be an ass but why would someone want to get prepped by dexter jackson? He is notorious for being one of the most laziest pros with some of the best genetics and a great metabolism. As far as i know he has no background in nutrition/anatomy and Physiology.. but i may be wrong. i just would never get trained by someone like this unless he had a degree or really new he shit.. just my two cents

And no he didn't charge me. Thank God.

I want to make it clear, that I was not impressed with this diet
 
Seeing that DHEA is thrown into the mix, does that send the message that it "works"?
 
REGARDING THE DHEA....

2OO MGS WOULD HAVE ME WITH SIZE DOUBLE D'S.

I TRIED A LITTLE BIT AFTER READING THAT THREAD ABOUT DHEA...AND MY NIPPLES HURT IMMEDIATELY. THAT WAS WITH 25 MGS. 2OO WOULD CAUSE ME BIG PROBLEMS.

THE REST OF THE BOTTLE IS SITTING ON THE SHELF. I CONVERTED THAT STUFF TO ESTROGEN RAPIDLY. IT'S NOT FOR ME...OR AT BEST I'D HAVE TO TAKE A VERY, VERY SMALL AMOUNT.

Sometimes you learn something, sometimes you don't

BTW I have learned alot of things I didn't know before he helped me.

hey man, if it works for you then more power to ya. As for me, I could give a rats ass if Jay Cutler walked up and handed me a diet, I've learned the only way to truly do whats right for you is to learn your body and listen to it. People make this shit out to be rocket science but it's not, its actually easy if people would just diet instinctive.

And yes Kia greene (before he turned Pro, worked out at the same gym as me and helped me some) I was very new to bodybuilding and Kia wasn't famous when I knew him, he was just like anybody else, but big.
 
seems like as good a start to a diet as any, the expertise comes in over the whole diet period. don't know about the dhea what purpose does it serve? I remember reading in MD that Dexters trainer checks his levels(among others im sure) throughout the prep.

That is a very non healty diet.

Nah, not trying to attack ya bro, hell try it out. But dont swallow everything somebody else tells you to do 100%. You are not Dexter Jackson, you are you, and sooner or later you'll find what works best. Nothing wrong with some guidance though
 
I don't think these are attacks on you, just opinions, which you did ask for. And like someone else said, if your not paying him I would think he's just giving you a generic diet he has already printed out for others.
