Do you guys lose your motivation in the gym...?
For the past couple of days I have lost my motivation to train. I am on gear right now, so that part is fine, but I go to the gym and I just don't want to train, we have good equipment, but the music is lame most of the time and there aren't may big guys and lots of old farts. Sometimes I go in there and train like an animal, but days like today are just horseshit, I got in there and started doing military presses and i just didn't feel like being there. i am not sick or tired, do any of you guys ever feel like this?

Agree with d0gFartz - but the times I "really" feel that way are right after a cycle.

Hello all!
Some days i feel like crap and don't want to go but once you get there and done a little it's better than doing nothing at all and you always feel better after you come out knowing you have done somthing.
Also try a walkman and some good tunes and an energy drink!
My motivation is seeing the big guys doing there stuff, lifting heavy and seeing there faces when a smaller weedier guy lifts just as much that makes u want to train harder and harder and improve yourself and being better than the rest.
Thats my motivation!

Hell yeah
Do you lift in one of those fitness gyms??? That will do it to you. The people, the music, the rules, its a JOKE.Sad thing is most of these places have great equipment, but not enough of the right people to use it. There is always that old guy that is ALWAYS there,he wears spandex and he thinks he is Eugene Sandow or something. He knows everyone and talks to them all.
There is a selection of old fat broads, yappin away for hours on the cardio equipment, but THEY ARE STILL FAT.
Then you have the hip-hop crew. They come in with there 12 inch arms, wife beaters on,pants to their knees acting all hard with cellphones and jewelry. The club kid crew, spiked hair, designer tank tops looking just sooooo pretty. There is that one Pakistani bastard that walks around with belt, gloves, etc etc ,weighs 120lbs and stinks up the place.
Then of course we have what we all go there for,the hardcore lifters and hot chicks. We train with and learn from the guys and we all love to talk to and look at the girls.Oh before I forget there is also that one NAZI guy.You know, shaved head, inked up,built like a tank, lifts like an animal, well respected and actually friendly. All gyms have one of those, don't they, hehe.
Honestly though,if your not going to switch gyms do what I did.Get yourself a walkman and play whatever makes your blood boil.Try to get a partner if possible,a solid hardcore partner. If you cant ,training alone is ok,just keep motivated by watching BB contests, powerlifting videos, old Hitler speeches.Bottomline is this...WHATEVER makes you pissed, makes the animal inside come out,use it.Get mad at the iron, push, push, and push more.YOU and the IRON are the only thing stopping you from the physique you want.CUT THE BULLSHIT AND LIFT!!!!

for some reason i felt this low or NO motivation through about 2/3 of my current cycle! even when i took a LOT more test than normal i didn't have the same confident ways & that good feeling all the time...i think it was because i ate so much (mostly crap) and i didn't sleep well...plus i put a lot of pressure on myself to grow and trained 5 days a week...usually i do best with 4 because i'm in the gym enough to grow but not enough to burn out...i have elbow & knee troubles now since i gained almost 30 lbs and my strength went up about 20% in nearly everything...that makes me less likely to want to train as well - when everything i do HURTS me!
regulate your sleep patterns, eat cleaner, etc i would say...ENJOY the training process, switch up your training routines, train with a motivated partner (someone stronger or bigger usually helps me push myself), use a walkman or CD player with some good tunes, try some mild caffeine/ephedra mix (like a drink or a couple ripped fuels or the equivalent...i never use caffeine except when i train so ONE cup of coffee is enough to get me going!), etc.
hope that helps!

In my humble opinin, situation and circumstances can dictate how you feel. I do think that depression is REAL and these types of things are a possiblity for anyone...no one is exempt. I would say that if you feel this way, then possibly take a deep look at yourself instead of the surface. Lot's of people wander around aimlessly looking for the answer to their questions when there right there inside them.
Changing gyms, training partners, routines, etc...may be a band aid to what really may be an ongoing issue.
Take a deep breath. Maybe there's more going on than just the superficial lack of motivation. Just my 2 cents.

loss of motivation
I have days like that sometimes also. But, I also have Seasonal Affective Disorder and had to start taking anti-depresants in December. I came off of my last cycle, my g/f of two years was fucking with my head and also had a lot of other stressors going on, plus the winter months. The shit works if the depression or lack of motivation continues on look into some anti-depressants.
good luck!!

I don't think that you have depression or anything like that. But, I think you are describing a typical fitness gym with the typical hangout. It can be discouraging environment. I would suggest you switch gym temporarily. Sometimes the change in environment and equipment does wonders. I belong to Gold's but work out in a no frill gym, actually a dungeon with bunch of power lifters. I get my best workout there. Another thing is to find a DEPENDABLE workout partner with similar built (or bigger) with similar goals and work ethics. One last thing that you could do is to set a realistic goal such as a commitment to a local contest with specific date. Once you commit yourself to it, you have an obligation to yourself to burst your butt.
Stay focus,
Mr Florida

This works...
First off...No matter how shitty my day may have been..no matter how stressed....OnceI get my ass to the gym...and start hitting the weights...I instantly feel better...Seriously...That by itself, motivates me to get my ass in the gym...
When I am feeling a little lethargic, and don't want to just 'go thru the motions' at the gym....I take some CLEN, ECA...or a good energy drink (RIPPED FUEL...whatever it is called byABB..or Red Bull ((a little tame for my standards)))...
The energy drinks make me feel focused and driven...Drink it on the way to the gym..Pump up some Henry Rollins (End of the Silence...or WEIGHT..)....or whatever music gets you pumped...And BAM..good to go...
Train hard!
