Doing side laterals properly - arms in front, not to the side

It's been years since I found out side laterals were more effective with bent elbows, but today I am doing them, and I realized it's a much more natural movement to have the arms almost in front of the body. Not quite front raises, but almost. Say right arm pointing at 2 o clock and left arm at 10 o clock

Just let your arms naturally hang at your sides and see how your hands and shoulders are positioned.

S, come on man . . . it’s way more complicated than that 😉

I'll have to do a video for you guys to show you what I'm talking about because it's not the way everyone does them

I think for them it's an exercise where you have to find your own form....one guys form that connects and tempo may be different from another. I like cable y raises but hate cable lateral raises. Sometimes fast tempo feels best sometimes a pause at the top. Sometimes take 2 DB.. front...side.. front...side...row em..like seth does.

I've seen people online say heavy progress on side raises built their delts but more seem to say volume frequency high reps pump em.

Why does that guy in the video, who claims to be so scientific and smart, hold his tiny clip-on mic in his hand instead of CLIPPING IT ON?!!! That alone makes me think he’s stupid.
Now that u pointed it out it's annoying as hell

Cable laterals using a rope attachment keeps your palm facing backwards and seems to work for me. IE: with fucked up shoulders.

No need for a video. This isn't news to anyone. There are different ways to do exercises. The key is making sure which ever variation someone does, they feel it in the correct muscle.
