I think I found a protein source I can eat a lot- I love egg whites-

(hate chicken-not crazy about tuna)

not eating a lot of yolk- any down side to egg whites????

no, egg whites are a good source of protein.

this post makes me ask, how new are you to bb'ing? i thought that eggs and egg whites were something that are universally known to be a solid source of protein (assuming you don't have allergies or other medical stuff).
 
Egg whites

been working out in gym for long time( 20 + yrs)- just back to it regularily after approx 5 yr hiatus ( where I ate and drank like a pig).

Never competed and never paid much attention to diet/ supplements etc- just went to the gym and threw around as much wt as I could for as long
as I could-not much thought involved. Played football in HS - ran track- martial arts etc.
Lots of great info on this web site- REAL info from actual personal experiences- trying to use my head this time-(not a kid anymore)
 
I have been using them pwo as well. Actually its just a meal but....I cook 7 whites if I dont have Lana's handy. I add a cup of strawberries and a banana as well. Add cinnamon and a little splenda.

Im sorry to hear that u dont like chicken or tuna that one of the best protein
sources in the game for puttinig on muscle mass.But dont get me wrong egg whites are awsome to.

Eggs: eggs are one of the best sources of protein you can take in. With all foods, no matter how much protein the food has, the body can only actually use and process a limited amount from each food. Eggs however rank higher than almost any food we can ingest and process almost the entire amount of protein from the food. Omega-3 eggs have even more benefit for the bodybuilder, as well as for general health overall. Omega-3 eggs have Omega-3 fats in them, a huge building block to a well tuned physique; as well as an added bonus in helping to control cholesterol. If you can’t find Omega-3 eggs, which should be very rare, regular eggs will work fine.

you're far better off eating the whole egg....way too much good nutrition in the yolks to be discarding them. yolks will not make you fat or increase your cholesterol.
 
really good advice Tom but some of us cant eat the yolks do to bad gas and running to the bathroom every ten mins and i mean running!!! the only way i can do it is to use 1 whole egg to every 4 whites and that seems to help and by no means is this to flame Tom's advice this is just in my trial and error!!!:D
 
I have been buying the Omega-3 eggs alot lately simple to use the whole egg when I strain off the yolks from the others I get.

The Omega-3 eggs list as having 6g of fat per egg , I typicaly use 2 whole Omega-3 eggs with 6-8 whites and scramble them with that I drink a couple ounces of LBA's

I can't see where adding some 40+grams of fat from the eggs will help a diet any even if the majority of it is Omegs-3's , just doesen't , but then you guys have a hell of alot more experiance with this than I do.

you're right . i forgot some people are rather senative to some foods. i have been there myself with certain protein powders. not fun.....
 
i eat tons of eggs/ whites organic omega-3 eggs, yum easy to cook fast, im lazy to prep most of my meals so eggs make it easy and a good source of protein

I think omega-3 eggs are a poor idea. Why take omega-3 fatty acids in a form that's exposed to high cooking temperatures? n-3s are highly susceptible to peroxidation.

Instead of eating eggs from hens who took fish oil, just take the fish oil yourself and skip the step of cooking-induced peroxidation.

exactly and i read somewhere the yolk and whites together converts to a very effective protein. or more complete i think it was.
