I bet that if you mixed in some lba's you could make that a pretty tasty drink. I'm not sure which flavor -- probably orange because it matches the color of the yams. I'll let you all know how it is.

Why not roast those bad boys in Olive oil, douse them with a good helping of Catsup and enjoy.... NOthing like frying the bad things right out of them!

Yams has many health benefits, beside simple starches, yams are rich in complex carbohydrates, dietary fibers, beta carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin B6. In 1992, the Center for Science in the Public Intrest compared the nutritional value of sweet potatos (yams) to vegetables. Considering fiber content,complex carbs,protein, vitamin A and C, iron, and calcium, the sweet potato ranked highest in ntritional value. Sweet potatoes earned 184 points, 100 points over the nex on the list, the common potato. Sweet potatos with dark orange flesh have more beta carotene than those with light colored flesh.
Is beneficial food for diabetics, preliminary studies on animals have revealed that it helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and to lower insulin resistence.

If you mix your pure (non flavored and sweetnet) whey protein with yam juce, you will have no acide reflux, and the enzymes from the sweet potato will healp the digesting.

If I drink any flavored and artificial sweetned whey proten I and up with wery severe acid reflux.

I've used Synthepure in just about everything. Shakes,,pancakes,,muffins,,oatmeal.....

Do you peel the yam or just put the whole thing in the juicer?
 
Jay Robb makes yams powder and yam chunks....that is my all time fave shake...some oil...whey and yam powder...may have to buy a juicer now
