I just came back from the ultrasound where I saw our baby's heart beat for the first time. I hope this thread will give some other's in my situation some positive encouragement.
I am 34 years old. I've been on TRT for just over 10 years. I have never taken over 350mg total per week but nonetheless, 10 years of straight use. I've never taken HCG with any real consistency either. I've always been scripted through juice clinics down in South Florida. Legal, but not medically necessary.
My wife and I decided we wanted a child. On June 15th, I quit TRT. I gave myself two weeks for the esters to clear and started PCT on the 1st of July.
Starting on July 1st and ending on October 1st (3 full months), I took the following supplements:
75ius of HMG twice a week
1500ius of HCG three times a week
.5mg of arimidex twice a week.
I wasn't religious with the days. Sometimes I would forget but I'd always get my weekly doses in.
The second week of October was our first attempt to conceive and apparently, it worked.
I was terrified that I made a huge, selfish mistake that would prevent me from having a kid. I truly believe the HMG/HCG combo got everything back in working order.
Now don't get me wrong, I feel like crap. I have sore joints, I'm always tired, my strength has gone down and fat has crept up. I will be going back on TRT in a few weeks. My blood work is all within the normal ranges even though I feel like an 80 year old man compared to only 6 months ago.
I highly recommend looking into HMG/HCG for any of the guys who want to conceive. I have no idea if my protocol was "by the books" or not. All I know, is that it worked for me.
