Has anyone lowered test dose from 20mg to 10mg per day?

I think I will have to forever as well, and just stay on ferrous sulfate so my ferritin doesn't tank. Do you just accept a really low ferritin level or do you take ferrous sulfate as well? I have to think all the donations you do lower quite a bit.

I honestly don't know what my iron level is, but he checks it 2x a year. So far in the past 11 years I haven't had it get to a level that he feels is unhealthy for me. I haven't had any symptoms either. So no problems for me. I remember talking with him and he said initially that we needed to get my iron levels down some before my hematocrit would stay down. In the first two years I had to get a phlebotomy once a month! Like clock work, every 4 weeks otherwise my hematocrit would get up around 58 or so. Eventually over the course of those initial 4 years it got down low enough so that now I only go once every 2 or 3 months. So I was glad once mine got down some. My doctor hematologist/oncologist actually did a bone marrow biopsy on me to make sure I didn't have cancer or some other disorder in my bones. Test came back normal. I think that was probably mostly to look for primary polycythemia.

So for me I have had no problems with iron, no supplements to take. In fact, I even stopped taking a regular multivitamin because those have iron in them. I take the multi for seniors because it has no iron. Once I did that my hematocrit level stayed down a lot better.

Ive had bloodwork on 10 mgs a few hours after I gave myself the 10 mgs sub-q shot and test was 240. Im thinking it takes at least a few hours to get into the bloodstream and raise testosterone.

Yeah. I asked the endo and I think it peaks around 24 to 48 hours later.

No the blood draw was about 3-4 hours after my normal dose this time

If you had waited at least 24 hours the number would have been higher.

Don't let the mental addiction get to you brother....I have seen plenty of people maintain their physique on very very low dose test, i.e. 10mg a day and even less than that.

Sounds like you're afraid of losing gains, but you won't if you do things right and you can still maintain your physique on 10mg a day, mark my words. How will you know if you don't even try anyways? It'll be a fun learning experience.

Once you've built a solid physique and been walking around the same size for years and years it actually takes allot of work to lose that muscle. I've seen guys try to lose their muscle for other sports they get into and some have a really hard time getting smaller after they have been big for so long.

Try it out and see for yourself its really no big deal once you see

This is so true. Back when I had my heart attack I remember thinking how I wasn't going to be able to take steroids anymore and my body would just fade away. Didn't happen. Heck nowadays I will go periods of time up to 6 months long where I don't even lift and now I don't lose any muscle at all really. I lose strength but not much size. Even though I don't lift hard I still look like I do, and random people I meet comment on how I must lift a lot of weight. I just kinda laugh.

So if I can maintain size when I don't even lift, I think you are going to be fine! I am 49 years old too. Main thing that gets me is my body starts to ache and my back/knees get all sore without exercise. Since you are young still and healthy, taking a lower dose of test isn't going to make your muscles all go away. You can still lift hard. I am going to say that I doubt youll lose much at all. You may not be able to make much more gains, but that is a sacrifice well worth it since you will be more healthy. You don't want to end up like me.

Im 6 foot tall and weigh about 250 now. That is taking 100 mg/wk.

Damn, what was your dose when it would climb back up to 58 all the time? Sounds like it just randomly stopped increasing? Or you consumed less iron?

Technically, I did do a shot just under 24 hours prior too, since I inject daily.

I am glad you shared your experience not losing much size. I noticed I didn't really lose much dropping to 140mg and that was a big mental barrier I had to get through, and it turned out I was worried for no reason.

my current experience..

I was at 750mg boldenone and 500mg test and my hematocrit went to 60 on January 7th. I stopped all steroids and donated blood. On January 22, my hematocrit was 56 and February 8 was 54.
Next blood donation was March 5th and now I have hemtaocrit 49. all time without TRT..
Now i started TRT 10mg / day because hematocrit is fine but my test is low. In 3 weeks I will go for blood tests and hope hematocrit will not go up. I'll report.

I will. The only caveat is my doc doesnt check free test and wants tt sub 750. So, ill wait 2-3 days after my last pin to be "safe"

Would he do it if you requested it?

Awesome man. This is the kind of reply I was hoping for. Very interested to know your results when you go back for another blood test.

Also, may I ask how your physique is looking being fully off?

Would he do it if you requested it?

He probably would but Im concerned that his conservative approach may mean that he could have an issue with high free t and want to reduce my dose (its only written for 100mg/week). Though, if I have blood drawn 3 days post last pin it probably wouldnt be an issue. Ill ask for it to be included.

Remember that your doctor works for you, not the other way around. If you don't like his performance, fire him and find a new one.

Unfortunately that's not how it usually works. I have the same view of the doctors working for us but that doesn't fit with their God complex. With many of the doctors here they won't treat you if you've been discharged by a previous specialist.

Could aleays change esters NH??? might help clear out quicker and thus aide in lowering ur h&h

Im gonna try sust, and iso and see how mine fairs

If you can find a Dr. that is newer in his practice I find their attitude is better for going a long with their patients ideas. Maybe they are looking to make more money or the younger generation is more open.

My T levels peak about 24 hours after injecting so you may want to wait longer if you want a lower score.

I was only taking 100 mg/wk, same as I am now. The only thing that I changed dietary was stopped taking that multi vitamin with iron in it. Between doing that and the continuous weekly then later on monthly phlebotomies got my iron down enough so that I now only have to go once every 2 or 3 months. Every 3 months usually does it now.

Interesting. I wonder if adding 8ox of beet juice per day in the last month further raised my numbers. I put a temporary hold on drinking it for now and stopped eating 800 calories worth of grass fed meat I was having daily.

I've decided on 30mg EOD for an average of 105mg per week.

My test vials are 200mg per ml so I would have to inject such a small amount of volume to get 10mg per day, which would be a little annoying.
