What is eveyrones opinion on your heart rate while training ? Does it shoot up or stay relatively "normal". I was watching Shark Tank and there was a cowboy pitching his new fitness system fad where he teaches people to use the best heart rate to get maximal results. My belief with all those systems is it's just a new way to get sedentary people to exercise so it has no magic or ground breaking knowledge.
I examined my own training and my heart rate is always high. Resting is right around 80 and cardio usually hits 160 on the precor machine. I have been higher and that scares me. My BP is usually in the good range at 125-130/75-80. I am going to give platelets soon just to get my blood tests back and check my hemocrit after reading about it in other threads.
Does anyone else monitor there heart rate while training ? I did a search but could not come up with anything specific to this. Lots of great heart information. More and more I think about it now days I look more into the health aspect of this as opposed to cosmetic/strength.
