My left inner quad muscle is growing faster than the right.. Im currently in my 4th week of DC training.. Which is all compound movements for legs.. I have a slight outer quad strain in my right leg that sometimes acts up when i lift heavy.. So i might be subconscienely putting a bit more stress on my left leg.. But my outer sweep on each leg is balanced.. Im looking for some advice from any DC'ers.. I posted this on another site, but didn't get any good feedback.. I was thinking of doing single leg extensions (very heavy) after my widowmaker on my under-developed leg with foot pronated out to hit the inner quad.. But my legs are pretty much taxed after that widowmaker set..

I would think that after the right quad strain heals everything will balance out. Work on getting that leg healed instead of think of another way to beat it up.

I DOUBT IT IS BECAUSE OF THE STRAIN......TRAINING JUST 1 LEG ONLY WILL ALSO INCREASE THE OTHER LEGS SIZE.......A SYSTEMIC EFFECT. I THINK IT IS FROM YOUR BACK.......DID YOU INJURE YOUR BACK EVER? GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR WOULD BE M YSUGGESTION.........WE ALL GET LET STRAINS.....

I second Phil's response. Hit up a Chiro and leave your program where it's at.

Never had any back issues in my life.. My back is pretty strong.. I never have that leaning forward issue when squating heavy weight.. The leg strain is at the very top of my leg.. Immediately below my hip bone... It is also a very deep strain.. IF i flex my quad and then rotate my leg away from my body.. I can feel the strain.. This strain happened about 2 years ago.. It goes away when im dieting or training below 80% of my maximum weights.. But creeps up on me when im training heavy..

I SEE IT NOW, THE LEFT ONE IS A TAD SMALLER.....YOU MUST LOOK HARD THOUGH.

I would be in pain too if my legs were that small!!! It hurts just looking at them!

When you say inner quad----fill me in here----are you talking sartorious or are you talking vastus medialis to be specific?

Inner upper thigh or are you just talking teardrop?

Yes Vastus medialis.. Specifically teardrop area..

Yes Vastus medialis.. And in the same area the picture points to..
You say it is the medialis. The area in your anatomy pic that you refer to is the upper origin of the lateralis. If this is the case I might have to agree with Phil and you have some type of nerve impingement going on. And it comes on with heavier loads which also leads me to believe impingement. If it is a strain in the area you point to then you really want to rest this and let it heal. Keep pushing it and you may be in for a detachment of the lateralis at the hip and this will mean surgery. I would seriously get another opinion on this!

Yes.. Strain is in lateralis.. But under-development is in tear drop area..

I have that same problem with my sweep on my left quad, seems to be equalling out but has taken quit a while.

Idea..

Big Guns - Have you thought about doing for example, 1 Leg Leg Presses for your widow-maker set or Split Squats in a Smith Machine? Train both of course but it might help with the balance development.
