I tried 5iu 2hrs pre yesterday. Just to see if I could get the timing down. How'd that work out??
Generally for most people Novolin-R has an active live of about 5 hrs and your carbs should be spread out through that window. Some people get a second peak after a few hrs and have experienced some hypoglycemia.
Since it gets dark early now, I can't run at the park at my usual time. So I opted for stair master sprints. 45mins total of intervals. After about 30mins in I started to feel lightheaded. Downed about 20g of glucose tabs. About 10mins later was feeling fine. Didn't need to ingest any more carbs during the 1.5hr workout.
I recognize hypo signs since I've experienced them before just running various types of gear over the course of 25+years. So it's not like I'm going to ignore these signs especially knowing I have exo slin in my system.
