For obvious reasons, this posting is not under my normal account name.
Friday morning I got a call at work from my wife that a package was delivered to our house and that she had to sign for it. It was addressed to me, and she told the “postal worker” that I wasn’t home and she didn’t want the package. The worker said that anyone could sign for it and that she didn’t want to drive out here again tomorrow, so would she please sign for it. She did.
As she was on the phone with me telling me this, eight..yes…eight police cars pulled up to our house and police, DEA, and agents from the Commerce Department stormed into our house and put my wife on the floor at gunpoint. Then the phone went dead.
I knew there was little I could do other than drive home. I arrived at my house and they immediately arrested me and put me in one of the squad cars in front of my house where I sat for the next two hours as agents went into and out of my house and my neighbors gathered to watch the excitement.
I’ll skip the story for now of the jail, the harassment by the officers at my house, etc and skip to the end.
My house is trashed. Agents spent 9 hours going through my house. They pulled every piece of clothing we owned out the drawers and threw it on the ground and then walked on it. They took every jacket, suit, dry cleaning, etc. off of the bar in every closet and threw it on the ground. They took every picture off of the walls and threw it on the ground. They took all glasses, pots, pans, out of the cabinets and left them on the floor. They went into the attic and into my under floor storage and opened every box and left it strewn on the floor. They pulled out every Christmas ornament and light and left them on the concrete. They took my children’s jewelry case and turned it upside down to dump out the contents on the ground and then threw the box across the room. I know this because it is on the other side of the room and is bent. So far, we have found dresses that are ruined because they have boot prints on them where the agents walked on them after throwing them on the ground. I could go on and on…but you get the idea. EVERYTHING in my house is piled on the floor and you can see boot prints on them all where they walked across everything once they threw it on the floor.
When they finally finished, they took every computer and printer. They took every dollar of cash in the house including the cash in my wallet and the cash in my wife’s purse. They took all prescription medication in the house even though it was in prescription bottles with valid and current prescription information on the bottles. They confiscated every gun I had in the house (I have some expensive antique and trophy rifles). They took every round of ammunition. They broke open any container that they could not easily open. The tracked fiberglass from the attic through the entire house that is now on every piece of clothing and property we own so we can’t just put things away…everything needs to be cleaned before it can be used. They broke closet doors…apparently because the doors were in their way and it was easier to rip them off the hinges rather than open them. They took computer hardware that was still in the shrinkwrap, opened it, and threw the box, the hardware, and the instructions in different directions. They took both my and my wife’s cell phones, and since we only have cell phones and no land line, we had no way to contact each other for three days while I was in jail.
They took all of my current bills that were on my desk waiting to be paid and all of my records of my bills: cell phone, credit card, bank statements, water bill, electric bill, etc. They went out to our cars and pulled up the carpet. They took the emergency first aid kits we had in each vehicle (still sealed in shrink wrap), opened them and dumped out their contents on the floor of the car. And when they finally did leave, they took our cats and locked them in a closet without food or water.
When all was said and done, they had completely destroyed my house and my vehicles, taken everything of value from the house, locked me in jail, and engineered it so that my wife and I could not speak with each other even to find out if the other one was ok or not. I didn’t know if my wife had been arrested or not and didn’t know what happened to my kids after school let out that day. I finally got out of jail Sunday night and found out that my wife was not arrested, and that she got the kids before they came home and they were all living in a hotel because our house is unlivable.
What was in the box that prompted this? Allegedly…one order of HGH.
They obviously found my gear. I lost my Test, my Deca, all of my PCT (clomid, nolvadex, HCG)…they even took the AIFM.
So…today…my family and I are living in a hotel while my wife and I take turns with the kids while the other goes back to our house to try to put it back together. We have no prescription medication, and I’m going cold-turkey off of HRT with no PCT.
I have a lawyer. It is not yet determined whether this will stay a state case or go to the Federal courts because the package was sent through the U.S. mail. It could go to both for different offenses. My wife hasn’t been charged yet, but the lawyer believes that she will be before all of this is done. There is a an outside and slight possibility that both her and I could go to jail and/or Federal Prison at the same time and our children will have to go live with our relatives. Note: the state I am living in bundles HGH with other category 5 controlled substances, i.e. in the court’s eyes, HGH is the same as Heroin, Crack cocaine, or Crystal Meth.
I am not afraid of terrorists. I am not afraid of nuclear weapons or biological terrorism. I am afraid of our police force that can wantonly destroy my personal property with absolute impunity. I’m not very far into this process yet, but it looks like I will probably forfeit all of my weapons and cash. We had emergency cash in the house in a safe (close to $10K)…gone. My weapons are worth between $50 - $60K…gone. Between that, the damage to the house, and the legal fees (estimated at $50K right now by the lawyers), I will experience close to a $150,000 loss for this event. Personally, I would rather have my house burn to the ground, at least then I would get some financial relief from insurance. As it is, it is all just a personal loss that I can’t even write off on taxes. And if I have to do jail or prison time, I’ll probably lose my job as well.
Take this post for what you will. Once this ordeal is over, I’ll post some details and lessons learned that I really can’t post now on the slim chance that the prosecution finds this thread…and why wouldn’t they? --there is a shortcut to this site on the browser on one of the computers that they confiscated.
Be careful. Let your wives/ girl friends / parents or anyone else that could be home when you are not and could sign for a package know what could happen. Clean up your computers.
Good luck to all.
